Ascension St. Vincent - Carmel Bariatrics Hospital
Dr. Diaz has been wonderful throughout this process. When I went to my initial consultation, I had a nice, long talk with Dr. Diaz and he offered very good advice. He even had another 1 on 1 visit with my husband and myself to address any questions or concerns that we had. Very knowledgeable and great bedside manner. I highly recommend him!
I attended the group consultation on August 29, 2008 with Dr. Diaz. My left brain attended with me \"Tildred aka goodbye_cankles\" and it went terrific. My first impression of Dr. Diaz was that he was a kind and compassionate man. He was very thorough in obtaining my medical history and seemed genuinely concerned with my health. He requested that I see a cardiologist prior to scheduling surgery due to my health history. It made me feel good to know that he was going the extra mile to take every precaution necessary to make sure that my WLS story would be a success. I have dealt several times with the insurance approval lady and she is WONDERFUL! I feel safe in their care which is a big comfort to my loved ones.rn
Dr. Inman is very personable along with being so well educated yet able to explain with ease in the details of what you are in for before and after surgery. She encourages you to ask as many questions as possible and you never feel rushed. Dr. Inman's staff is also amazing, kind and caring. I haven't gotten my surgery date just yet but I know my support net is growing!
The staff was unresponsive to the medical emergency and allowed almost 24 hours to pass prior the physician being made aware of my condition. He had me back in surgery within an hour for a blocked small bowel. The nurses stated they did not have time to deal with me (immediately post-op) and gave me a stack of vomit bins (10) and removed my call bell because they were " too busy" to deal with emptying my vomit and "dealing" with me. They removed my Bi-pap and told me it was against regulations. They instead put me on plain oxygen, as they did not understand the difference. I changed my own bed linens, cleaned my own room, changed my own dressings and was sent home with an infection which required a second hospitalization under isolation because of the severe nature of the infection.
