St. Vincent Charity Hospital Hospital
Everything was wonderful except for midnights making popcorn that could be smelled on the whole floor. And discharge ~ Had to wait over an hour and a half for the paper work so we could leave. ALL the nurses were at lunch or gone from the desk everytime my sister checked. She questioned them (She is a nursing supervisor at a major hospital in Pittsburg) and the nurse got REAL testy with her and said they were busy. There was only 3 people on the floor. My sister was VERY upset with the nurses treatment of her. The Dr. released me at 11:00 and we did NOT leave until 2:30. Yes I did have to see another Dr. first about my meds but they
knew I was leaving and the other Dr came in around noon.
The nursing staff was wonderful at St. Vincent's in Cleveland on 5b the bariatric ward. My care was superb and found everyone to be very supportive, friendly and helpful. The excellent care started in the anestisia room and followed me right into the operating theatre and on to the bariatric floor. No complaints, other than they need to loose the green jello that is served for meal and get a cherry or raspberry.
I actually liked the hospital so much, when I recover since I am a STATE TESTED NURSING ASSISTANT/RESTORATIVE AIDE I plan to apply for a job on the bariatric floor and assist other in their journey.
