I would recommend this hospital to anyone considering it. I haven't had a lot of experience with Austin hospitals, but felt this one was one of the better.

The nurses were incredible and I was impressed by their concern and attention to me while I stayed. Cannot say enough about them and how GREAT they really were!!!

Very pleased with overall care while in intermediate care section. Nurses seemed overwhelmed in regular care section. They were still pleasant and did their best to accomodate.

St. David's Hospital made my surgical stay so nice. The staff was very caring and understanding of my surgery. I could not have asked for anything better.

Staff ws very supportive and will to do what ever they could do to make my stay thre fantastic.

Staff talks pretty openly about other staff, patients and themselves. Rest isn't going to happen here. They will drive you crazy at all hours.

I was disappointed that the nursing staff knows so little about WLS since the hospital has it's own barriatric center. One nurse told me only a few nurses were allowed to attend WLS seminars so most there do not know much about it. When allowed food, I was given things I knew I was not supposed to have - sugar, milk, tomato soup, and oatmeal.

The people were very friendly and concerned about how everything was going. They seemed to be on top of things.They were pretty slow on getting the pain meds from cabinet due to RN being overworked and swamped.They were very encouraging and supportive and kept family informed of what was going on!
