Dr. Zane is the sweetest man with a beautiful smile. I wish I had known that Kaiser did do their own surgeries the first time around. He has been a life saver to me. The best.

My first impression of Dr. Zane was very good. He was very professional and informative. My pre-op appointment is on 10/29/2008.

My first impression of Dr. Zane was POSITIVE!rnI went in for my consult, and his nurse was extremely nice. He was easy to talk to and rnwasn't quick to judge. I felt great after our appointment. If you are sent to him consider yourself lucky!

I just started Kaiser's 6-month program on 2/2/09 that you have be enrolled in before being qualified to sit down with the surgeon. Hoping for Dr. Zane because he developed this program.

My first impression of Dr. Mun was that he was very serious. He is very strict about following the guidelines of weightloss both before and after surgery. I have an appointment on September 22nd with the anast. team for my surgery which is on October 6th. I am very nervous, but after reading the reviews on here I am alot more calm about the situation. I hope for the best and am sure everything will work out fine. After surgery I will update on here and let everyone know about how it went. :)

Today I met with Dr. Mun for my final appt. It went very well and I am a canidate for surgery :D, the only bad news is, is that I will probably have to wait until July to have surgery :( I am very anxious to have the procedure done. Now I am just waiting for Dr. Mun's secretary to call me back with a date and he said I would most likely hear from her with in a day or two, so hopefully by Monday she will call and hopefully it will be an earlier date than what I think. --Dr. Mun's staff is very very nice and felt very comfotable talking to everyone there. I first began my journey in October 2002, sent my form in and waited.....then on January 6th 2003 I got a call from Hannah Boulton and a couple days later made my first appt in February 2003 and I met with Anna McNamara and I feel terrible but cant remember the other Dr's name, but it was a gentleman and they were both extremly nice. Then in March I had my appt. with the nutricianist Linda V. and agian she was very nice, spent alot of time with her, she explains alot in detail about how you will be eating after surgery and about how small the pouch actually is. And then in April I met with phycologist, Ronna Casper and what a hot ticket she was, she was VERY laid back, you felt right at home with her, she curled herself right up in her chair and she made you feel so comfortable, she was like she was an old friend you havent seen in along time. And then today I met with Dr. Mun and as I said before I am a canidate :D, He explains everything to you in detail and makes sure you know what you are getting into, and he is willing to answer any question you have and give you as much time as you need and he is very polite. The only complaint I do have and its not that big, its just you wait along time to see everyone. First it seems like you wait along time inbetween appts. and when you are at the office for your appts, you wait along time to see them. But they are worth waiting for !!!!! I first started the program in February weighing 298lbs and when I got wieghed today I lost 18lbs so I am down to 280, Dr. Mun also said he believes I am a canidate for laproscopic surgery but he not 100% sure because I have a gallbladder scar there from about 14 years ago. But he said he was going to try it on me and if it doesnt work then he will go to open procedure which is ok. I'll take either procedure, which ever comes quicker to me. So now its just a waiting game, and I hate waiting !!! But as I tell my son...All good things come to those who wait :D Oh yeah I didnt mention earlier, I am 33 years old and have 2 children (2 cats and a very large dog :D) My son is 6 years old and my daughter is 3 years old and I have been married for almost 8 years to a wonderful man that I have know for 16 years. He loves me no matter how I look. Who could ask for anything more. :D

I thought Dr Munn was the best. I had complications and he changed his weekend plans to come in on Sat. ( and got his team together) to do an emergency surgery. He was very attentive in the days and weeks following my emergency surgery. He gave me his cell# in case I needed him. You can't ask for more! He had a bedside manner that was kind and gentle. He listened to all my concerns and questions.

Dr. Mun was/is AMAZING! Very supportive and tells you like it is. I would strongly recommend him to patients seeking WLS. I would also add that he is strict, but extremely professional.

My first impression of Dr. Zane was good bedside manners and geniunely concerned with knowledge of what surgery is right for me. This is very refreshing because sometimes I don't feel people are to intune with those of us who struggle with weight and decide to do Bariatric surgery. I have my pre op next week and I am scheduled for Aug 8th. So, I will keep you posted on my feelings for him after that. For now.....he has good JUJU! Two thumbs up!!
