South Bay Kaiser Hospital
Dr Z is the best. He is very caring and informative. He addresses any concerns or questions you may have, telling you exactly what you want to hear or what you may not want to hear. But overall he is Kaiser's best, if you are thinking about getting bariatric surgery, I am from the inland Empire, I drove all the way to Harbor city, just to be his patient and I am so glad I did. His staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer any questions or concerns you may have after the surgery. Dr Zane, Thank you for everything I will never forget it. Joe Silva
Dr. Belzberg may strike you as an odd bird at first, but you will soon realize he is a highly competent and dedicated doctor. He has over 30 years of surgical experience and knows the digestive system backward and forward. He loves surgical challenges and is clearly the go to guy at Kaiser So-Cal. He fixes other doctors' mistakes and does the most complex surgeries that other doctor's can't handle. He may not come across as the warmest guy in the book (until you get to know him), but just know you are in good hands.

Dr. Zane is GREAT...he takes the time to discuss any and all concerns you have pre and post...He is very confident and knows his stuff. Thanks Dr. Zane for giving me another chance. Dr. Zane fixed my sleeve I had done several years ago. My co-workers said I would love him and I do. THANKS Dr. Zane .
I had my surgery in Boston at Beth Israel Hospital in 2003 by Dr. Edward Mun. There is no hesitation that I would recommend him. He is the best! I am 11 yrs out and have kept off the 158 lbs. that I lost. I am in a size 6 from a 24! Pretty amazing. He is a very caring doctor who works with you and helps you over obstacles. I had open surgery because of previous surgery on my stomach and was on my feet almost immediately after. I am an advocate for bariatric surgery and have spoken to many groups. If you are hesitant about doing this, don't... Go for it! It will save your life!!!!

I am 4 weeks post surgery (VSG). My surgery went great as well as my post op visit. Dr. Mun found that I had a hernia when he did my surgery and repaired it. Recovery is going great. I would definitely recommend Dr. mun.
I've only met Dr. Mun once; it was for my pre-op visit. Dr. Mun is very knowledgeable and takes his time to answer all questions. Very nice. I am looking forward to meeting him again on surgery day.
Dr. Belzberg is a very skilled surgeon who appreciates intelligent, self-directed patients. I liked his straightforward manner, sense of humor and sensitivity to my needs. I tend to be pretty independent and he was able to easily adapt to that for me. He knows what he is talking about and I just love his matter of fact approach.

I had a very bad experience with a physician at Kaiser on Cadillac so I refused to go back to him and requested to see Dr Zane even though he is quite some distance from me. He was referred to me by a friend who also has Kaiser. He is very thorough explaining the pros and cons of the surgery he will be doing on me. He told me what my options were, we set the date and I was left with the feeling of just having met a very professional man who loves what he does.
Dr. Zane did a RNY revision on me 3-days ago. He is an amazing doctor!
