The only complaint that I have about my hospital stay was that it took 4 hours to get a room after surgery, I had to wait in recovery that long and my family was stuck out in the waiting room and weren't even allowed to come back and see me.

The treatment was great but the time it would take them to get someone to my room was very bad. At one point I had to wait over an hour in the middle of the night for some assistance.

I think Presbyterian is a great hospital and I found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful.

My first few hours in my room I had to call the Administrator of the hospital to get help when I was having problems getting settled in. I would not recomend this Hospital unless you have to like me.

I thought the nurses on the 5th floor were wonderful. I always felt like they were caring, yet not overbearing. I DO, however, wish they could have loaned me a small fan my first night. The room was very stuffy. My husband brought one from home the next day, and it made a huge difference.

The bed was not made for an obese person. The rod in it that makes thje bed fold up like a sandwich hurt my bottom so much that I still couldn't sit up straight for 3 weeks I had to lean to the side.

nurses and doctors were very attentive and responsive, though bed was extremely uncomfortable. i would recommend this hospital to other people having WLS surgery.

I only had one time that I had trouble getting a nurse in my room( 3rd shift). It did help to have my fan with me. It helped keep the noise in the halls down. I slept a lot better.

The only problem I experienced with this hospital was the IV insertion. They had a difficult time inserting the IV's in my arm.

The hospital itself was great, surgery everything. However because I was there 7 days instead of 3 I was there over the weekend and the weekend nurses on the 5th floor were AWFUL! My body would not wake up (kidney/bowel) so when they did the nurses left me in waste for over an hour, I finally had to call down to the operator to have her ring the nurses desk to get someone to help me! Also the weekend staff was bad about letting your med-pump go empty for 30 minutes to an hour causing you to be in pain...
