I was never asked by the staff how my pain level was doing. Each time I had to ask for medication. My monitor was beeping almost the whole time I was there and they couldn't find out why. Finally, they realized it was due to my heart rate being too high. Couldn't believe it took 2 days to figure that out. When I would call the nurses station to let them know I was beeping again, it could take up to 10-15 minutes to get someone to come in. The gal sharing the room had the same experience which was frustrating because it was hard to rest. I was left in the restroom several times to fend for myself. Was often left along time after ringing the nurses station that I had to use the restroom. The foot stimulator on my bed wasn't working and no one noticed. I had to ask for a clock to be brought into my room as there wasn't one. I can't remember my linens being changed other that the time I asked them to. Overall, it was a lousy experience and I couldn't wait to get home!!!! Very sad to pay thousands and thousands of dollars and to receive that type of lowsy care!!

Need to discuss Pain Meds AHEAD of the Surgery, the Pump works well but it took me 8 hours to get additional meds approved. Need to tell your doc to put an order in place for "breakthrough" shots and to increase the morphine pump to higher dose if you have a high morphine threshold like I do. My pulse had to go to 140+ for 6 hours before the reluctantly called the doc to approve more pain meds.

I didn't have my wrist band on for most of my stay. They didn't require that I get up and walk. It took them over 10 hours to get my food sent up to the floor and that wasn't until Dr. Leport found out and got angry about it. I was left in the bathroom for over 15 minutes and my brother had to get me out. Someone brought me a regular person's meal, didn't check for my name and my brother had to tell them it wasn't for me. They were not good about changing the bedding or my gown, even though I had sweated for 2 days straight and so much that my hair didn't dry during that entire time.
