Ocala Regional Medical Center (COE) Hospital
Pre-op nurse was great. Best IV stick I have ever had. Overall, everyone was very nice, but the nursing staff was overextended as usual. Parking was deplorable. Thankfully I was a low maintenance patient as my mother was there to help me. I think I want to go to Monroe for my WLS, if I get approval.
The hospital was great, the staff was very friendly, the volunteers were very sweet. The nurse and CNA who took care of me the first night were the best. The second day my family was not able to be there until I was discharged, i felt a little left alone, especially with the pain. But it got me moving around on my own, so that's a plus.
Everyone was wonderful! Carol was my favorite she was my nurse the last day she had a great sense of humor made me laugh a lot she kept making fun of my fiances snoring[he slept off and on all day]!She made sure I knew everything I needed before I went home and made sure the pain wasnt to much to handle when I got home. When I was getting ready to leave one of the nurses I had the day before stopped in and said she hoped to see me back for a tummy tuck!
the day of my surgery I shared a room with an elderly person that was dieing and she did pass away the next morning at about 3:30 am then I shared a room with a nice woman that went home then on the third day they put another elderly woman in my room that was also passing away and was constantly mumbling. How could I get any rest...how do you think it made me feel after I had surgery that someone in my room was dieing?
