North Florida Regional Medical Center Hospital
I had some apprehensions about the nursing care at this hospital, based on several friend's previous experiences. My dietitician said that things had changed with a new executive administrator. My experience was great! I was cared for in the intensive care unit, so I cannot attest to the nursing care on a general floor, but they do have a shining star program, which I am told is lucrative for the staff. My experience with everyone from admission to discharge, including nuclear medicine, imaging, and X-ray was excellent. In the future, this will be my preferred hospital.
I was in ICU the entire 4 days I was in, but I didn't mind. The treatment was great, the nurses were there when I needed them. My ICU bed turned into a chair which made it much easier to get in and out of. It was ICU so the quietness wasn't always there because of the various machine alarms going off, but I was able to rest.
