New England Medical Center Hospital

The care and personal attention I recieved during my surgery and post op was fantastic. The nurses, nursing assistants and doctors were, without exception, professional and knowledgable, provided outstanding care and were friendly to boot. The room was spotless. I couldn't have asked for a better hospital experience.

I think the NEMC weight loss surgery program is on of the best around, I feel confident saying that because before deciding where to go for the surgery I did alot of research. The day after my surgery my surgeon came to see me 4 times that day and he called the next day to check up on me, the nursing staff was amazing because they were really sympathetic with my situation. I never had to call them twice. The program psychologist also came to visit me. I felt well taken care of and I will highly recomend NEMC for anyone who is thinking of having Weight Loss surgery.

I had a good stay and decent nursing care after surgery. The only really bad experience I had was having a visit from finacial planning regarding an insurance issue that was their problem to check on and not mine. The issue is currently being reported and responded to. The individual who came to my room was very rude and nasty to me causing me much anxiety after her visit. Any attempt I made with her to give information was recieved with a nasty remark and this behavior will not be tolerated by the hospital and least of all me. I made all the calls necessary to insure the insurance information was correct and her job was to call to confirm prior to surgery. To tell me that "you got yourself a free surgery" was completely unprofessional of her and not even close to being the truth.
