I agree that Methodist is well on its way to being a world class Bariatric Surgery Center. The nursing staff is absolutely top notch in my book. I wish to thank the staff for taking such excellent care of me - I almost didn't want to leave. The nurse manager is also my Surgeon's nurse and is excellent in every way. And I would recommend Dr. Svendson to anyone looking for a bariatric surgeon - I think he is the best!

This is a wonderful hospital and the fact that it has a special bariatric section is fantastic! They really care.

I really liked my experience at Methodist Hospital. The staff was very attentive to my needs and they made my stay all that much better. I had a private room which I really appreciated and I was able to take showers while I was there. That was a major issue for me. Helped with my comfort level. From what I understand, I stayed in a desiganted area for WLS patients. The staff was very familiar with the special needs of WLS patients so I felt at ease and I felt I was in good hands.

Don't know what conditions are like now, but in 2001 - they didn't have enough large size gowns.

This was the most pleasant hospital stay I have ever had. The nurses really cared about you.

I would recommend Methodist hospital to anyone that I spoke to. They were sincere and put me first. They were well staffed and the nurses had enough time to listen to what I needed and help me.

I was on the surgery wing, where they have recently remodeled 4 rooms specifically for bariatric surgery patients. These rooms are all private, with bathroom and shower facilities, and designed with a larger person in mind. That was wonderful. The staff was great, the nurses knowledgeable and friendly. No real comments on the food since all I had was broth, juice and jello. But those were all about what you'd expect! :)
