The hospital and surgeon was excellant, the only only thing is the arrangment while waiting for a room in pre op

I would recommend Methodist to anyone. Everyone always has this fear of how they will be treated and how will the staff care for them. No questions here, it's almost like spending time at a resort. I was very pleased with my stay there.

I can't say enough great things about the staff on the bariatric unit. Everyone was responsive to my needs and made me feel great. The nurses were understanding to everything I needed and helped me along the way. The bariatric patients have private rooms and that alone made the stay so much more exceptional to other hospitals. I don't have anything negative to say about the hospital or the staff.

Checkin was smooth and swift. Everyone was very good about explaining what they were doing and what was going to happen next. Preparation prior to surgery was done in a recliner chair rather than bed. That was much more comfortable for me.

Overall things were good. I was a little unhappy with the fact that in 4 days I hardly seen the same nurse and all the nurses did things differently, not all knowing how to treat me after having a gastric bypass (ie. giving pills whole, trying to get me to drink too much water too fast)

I would have my surgery there in a minute but my insurance won't pay for it there.

I was so happy with my stay. Every nurse I had was an angel! I had a private room and they treated me with nothing but respect and compassion.
