I felt that LCM was has a very good program for WLS and would recommend this hospital to other looking into this surgery. They were very attentive and even allowed my daughter to visit even thought she is only 8 and way under the age of viviting children. The only complaint that I could think about is that fact that the emergency room was right below my window and it was very loud. There was also a woman on our floor that wanted to leave the hospital at 2 a.m. and cause quite a disturbance. This along with it being Halloween night and it sounding like a party in the ER parking lot with a bunch of drunks was a little unnerving. I did volunteer to have a little talk with the pain in the butt patient that was causing all the noise on our floor. The nurse unfortunely decline my offer. Other than the one night with all the noise my stay at LCM was very uneventful and pleasant.

My first impression of Dr. Cahill was, whow, how young this guy is and how many surgerys has he performed. After talking, became much more comfortable with him.

After a 2 hour meeting with Dr. Cahill, I was a lot more relaxed and confident with him and his abilities.

His staff for the most part are very professional, friendly and efficient.

There is not anything that I can think of that I do not like about Dr. Cahill.

Dr. Cahill is very upfront and professional and will not hold back.

I feel that more emphasis needs to be addressed on after surgery care/needs, especially diet & nutrition.

If there is an aftercare program, I cannot recall being told much about it, except for external support groups outside of his immediate practice.

In the beginning, most of the bases I felt were covered addressing the surgery risks. However, not everything was covered. I recently had to be readmitted in the hospital for 4 days for abdominal hernia surgery whihc was a direct result of the gastric surgery and this side effect was never mentioned/discussed by the suregon/staff before or after surgery.

Overall my rating of Dr. Cahill is excellent with just a little room for improvement in certain areas of his proactice.

I feel that both surgical competence and hospital bedside manners are equally important in a patients recovery.

I was very glad that I went to Dr. Cahill for a consultation. I felt very comfortable as soon as he sat down and started talking. He explained all the WLS options to me very thoroughly. He also listened to everything I had to say and answered all my questions in a very professional manner. He was very honest and to the point. He makes sure you know all the risks involved. He wants you to be sure exactly what you want before you schedule a surgery date. He does not try to push the surgery on you at all. Dr. Cahill's office staff was very friendly and helpful also. Especially, Donna!!! She works so hard to get your insurance approval and calls you on a regular basis to update you. She is never too busy for you. If you have any questions do not ever hesitate to call her, because she never makes you feel like you are bothering her. This woman works very hard! All in all I highly recommend Dr. Cahill and his staff!

Met with Dr.Cahill today for the first time. He was great! He answered all of the questions my husband and I had for him and even kept his cool while my 2 yr old nephew gave himself a tour of the room. I liked that he asked me what I wanted and asked about me-most doctors just say "I see here you ...." He helped ease some of my insurance worries which helped greatly! All in all it was a great first visit and hope to report back soon with some news about my insurance letter.

Cahill seemed competent. He answered all of my questions such as: how many patients have died, gotten ulcers, had to have dilation, etc. He was also very honest about the hospital facilities. I also asked him what he thought about the nurses on the floor and he assured me that if I had a problem, all I had to do was call him directly and he would rectify any concerns or problems. I had done so much research on this site that I felt prepared for our consult. His office staff was polite and courteous. The after care does seem structured. I'll know after I get approval and an actual date.

I immediately liked Dr. Cahill - I was very comfortable with him and trusted him completely. Over time my trust increased. He is very compassionate and makes you his number 1 priority! He never rushes you. His surgical nurse, Tony Romeo, is great too! He is there for you 24/7 - he answered all of the many e-mail questions I sent him before surgery. He runs the entire program, including the informational seminars and the support group meetings. His office staff (Donna & Mary) are wonderful. They are always so pleasant to deal with, even with the many phone calls inquiring about something or changing my surgery date - they're there for you and give you their complete attention. They are always glad to see you and get very excited with you with the weight loss. They're so busy and yet never rush you or brush you off! They truly are remarkable! There is nothing I didn't like about Dr. Cahill. I feel he is a gift from God - and has the Midas Touch! During my consultation he went into great detail about the procedure, covering everything, including all the risks. The aftercare program is very structured! They insist upon regular follow-up appointments and attending the monthly support group meetings. Overall I rate him OUTSTANDING! His surgical competence is great - if I ever need surgery in the future I would want him to do it (and my incision is so thin and perfect!)! His bedside manner is tremendous. I looked forward to his visit each day in the hospital - he is very soft spoken and gentle! As I said before, he makes you feel so important and gives you his complete attention! I was so nervous right before surgery - his visit the hour before surgery had such a calming affect and re-enforced my decision. I just knew with him doing the surgery nothing would go wrong! I highly recommend him to everyone! There is nothing negative I can say about Dr. Cahill, Tony or his office staff. I thank God every day for being referred to Dr. Cahill!!!!!!

The hospital was excellent.Donna and Mary are EXCELLENT..and I guess Doctor Cahill too...Sike He's AWESOME...he never lied to me,he was very real, and referred me to a ps that is also great. When I was in the hospital the nurses bended to my every wish including switching my feet pumps to the other end of the bed so I could be more comfortable, then switching them back AFTER I felt that it was worse lol. The nurses never grumbled or sighed.
