Little Company of Mary (COE) Hospital
Dr. Cahill did my lapband in 2007. I wasn't that happy with my care. When the lapband didn't work for me and I stop losing weight and started having complications, he never looked into it to see why I was having complications. He didn't see if I had a band slippage or suggested that I look into revising to another surgery. I don't think he was doing the gastric sleeve back in 2007 because that surgery wasn't offered too me. Anyway, after so many band adjustments, he basically told me theirs nothing else he could do for me. It was like he was getting tired of seeing me for adjustments. The nurse Tony was nice and very helpful but I feel Dr. Cahill should of been more supportive with me. I didn't even see him the day surgery.

Little Company of Mary is the place where ALL of my doctors practice and they are excellent! During my surgery stay, everyone was polite and were helpful when I needed it. There were a few times when I had to wait much longer than anticipated for help, but those times were very few. My room (in the new building) was absolutely gorgeous and included a huge flat screen tv on the wall. I give my overall stay 4 out of 5 stars and would definitely recommend anyone to my hosptial!
Dr. Cahill's entire staff is wonderful caring and helpful. Today I am thankful for Dr. Cahill & John. Dr. Cahill for his expertise and for going into the practice that he did. Because of him, I have a better opportunity to live into my 90's like my mother has. John is the Dr's Nurse who is by his side for every operation and follows the patient through. Dr. Cahill has such faith in his abilities and I can see why. He is a wonderful, caring individual who takes his time answering every question you have and can calm down a nervous hubby. These 2 men compliment each other very nicely. I am thankful for them both. God Bless you Dr. Cahill & John. May your skills continue to help many more people like me. Thank you!!
If you want a dr. with integrity and a vast array of knowledge Dr. Cahill is your Dr. You have him for life. His team promotes knowledge and well being before, during and after your surgery. I've gone to group and I have had pre-op classes. Ive also have nutrition classes that were a requirement as well. I lost 10 pounds pre-op. Then 10 pounds post-op. All because of the stages of food consumption that his team has you on. Again he is a great Dr. but most importantly it is his long lasting relationship wiht the patient that matters to me. He and his team are on this quest for success with you!
Honestly, I could NOT have asked for a better team of medical professionals. I absolutely adore everyone on Dr. Cahill's team, from the receptionist, nurses, dietician, etc.. From the moment I met them, I immediately felt at ease and knew that I was good hands. I was impressed with Dr. Cahill from the first time that I met him. He thoroughly explained all the procedures with me, and allowed me to decide which procedure I wanted to go with. And needless to say, I had the vertical sleeve exactly 3 months after my initial consultation with Dr. Cahill.. Insurance approved procedure on first attempt, everything just pretty much fell into place.. Never felt alone during this entire process, including my hospital stay. They are simply amazing. :):):) (And I'm never one to provide feedback, but when you're going through such a life changing experience, feedback good or bad is very much needed)..
My first impression of Dr. Cahill was that he knew what he was talking about and doing. The office staff was wonderful and caring. Before surgery he helped calm my nerves. When I was sent home I developed in infection and he took care of it right away in all aspects. When I had my small bowel obstruction it took him no time to operate and get it taken care of. I would recommened him to anyone! Through this experience (being my first surgery ever) I couldn't have picked a better surgeon!!

I had bypass surgery December 2010. I love Dr. Cahill and his staff. Everyone is always so friendly and really concerned on how I was doing. I would highly recommend him.
He took his time at my first visit to answer all of my questions before I made a decision to have surgery. I enjoy going to the support group meetings, they are a great added tool.

when I met this surgeon I felt that he was cold and unfriendly. I was reffered by my insurance company and they told me he was the only one that I could choose from. Before my surgery I never saw him, I met other team members that would be assisting in my case. Ater surgery I was in such excrutiaing painand nothing was done until the next day. Then I was given another type of medication that help to take the edge off the pain that I endured for the entire night. When I asked to speak to the doctor they charge nurses informed me that they did not want to call the doctor in the middle of the night. Then I said well you mean to tell me that I will need to suffer all night because of this? Unfortunately I was alone and had no one to stand up for me. I felt so helpless and victimized. The next day he saw me in the hallway ambulating, not once did he ask about my night, or that he was sorry about how bad my night was. I would never reccomend him to anyone. Also I was never told I would have wound packing. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
