My first impression of Dr. Boorse was that he was very knowledgeable. He answered evry question we had plus.He continued to provide that same impression throughout however his bead sidemanner was a little cold. His office staff was great they really helped me find ways to get this covered by my insuraunce.HE addressed the risks very openly but without it coming across scary. very reassuring that if there were any issues we have ways of helping just gotta call if there are any problems.Overall i would rate him as a very good surgeon very thorough and efficient.

Very nice, all the way through. I see him on Tuesday for the first time since surgery last Wednesday. My surgery went very well. The hospital he works through has a very structured pre and post care program. His office staff is great. I have my first fill coming in April. The only issue I've had is that once a nurse from the office did not call me back, but fortunately it was not a dire emergency. I am not sure if she didn't get the message to call me or what but I was slightly disappointed.

There was a few times where I was concerned because one of my machines was beeping and no one came for quite a few minutes. It took the discharge order nearly 6 hours to come through. There was construction going on the floor above and my roommate was a nightmare. I know it all sounds horrible but overall the nurses were nice and best of all my surgery went perfectly so I can't complain too much ;)

Doctor Boorse is a lifesaver. Since my surgery in. dec.2005. I feel great i have more energy and down 52 pounds. If i had to do it all over again i will go back to Dr. BOORSE. Yes he does tell you all the risk involed but you have risk with any surgery. He has very good bed side manners if i had to rate him 1out20 he would be a 20

Very professional. Have the utmost respect for him. He made the whole process as comfortable as possible. When I was released from the hospital, called for 1 week follow-up appt. and was given attitude for the receptionist having to double up on an appointment, was uncalled for. Doctor is very professional and took the time to explain the process of RNY. Was sure to explain aftercare in great detail. Currently, in Phase 2 of RNY and coping with it. Dr. Boorse gave me recommendations
to help help me along with the cravings.
He was very forwrd to explain the risks of RNY and kept asking me if I was sure that wanted to do RNY. Overall, Dr. Boorse is a terrific surgeon with an excellent bedside manner and great surgical skills. Both are very important to me.

The hospital was wonderful. I was surprised they were so organized considering it is such a big hospital.

Dr. Boorse was extremley nice and caring. I was a little apprehensive at first because naturally doctors make me nervous, but he made me feel at ease and very comfortable during my consultation. The office was beautiful very professional looking but yet cozy at the same time. And the staff was extremely nice, everyone was so helpful. When I had called to schedule the consultation appointment, I was expecting to have at least a five month wait for the appointment because the office is so busy...but the receptionist penciled me into an appointment that was cancelled!!! When I was introduced to the staff member that gets approval from the insurance companies and schedules the surgeries, she explained everything clearly and was very helpful. I expected to hear back from her at least a week and a half after my appointment regarding whether or not my insurance company approved me or not, and she got the approval and called me within two days! So far, out of a rating of 1-10 L.V. Surgical Associates gets a 12!
