My stay was made to be very comfortable, staff was very kind. My husband and I stayed at the hackerman patz house ( across from the emergency room) the night before my surgery and they as well were great to work with us. I would recommend this hospital. They treated my family as if they were all family.

"New start"

I woke up early in the morning, took my bath, got dressed and took the first and last full body picture as the overweight Person that i have been for over 27 years on and off. My three children accompanied me to Lehigh Valley Hospital Ceder Crest. The valet parking was great..due to that service it allowed me to sit with my kids to talk little more before surgery.

Registration was easy and hassle free. Arrived upstairs and was called by the nurse within 5 min. Was taken to the back and the nurses there were so sweet helpful and their wonderful attitudes made me feel at ease and gave me no time to over think anything that i have already thought of a billion times. I had the chance to meet with my anesthesiologist my surgeon and the other staff members.

I woke up in some pain after surgery but that was quickly taken care of . I was taken to my room upstairs where I shared a room with another patient that had a potty mouth but nothing is perfect..lol All the nurses were very nice and helpful. I asked to bath because i felt uncomfortable and was assigned a young nurses aide and she undressed me, didn't have anything ready and didn't even cover me up, She did this with the blinds to my window open. I had to let her know to cover me. Then when i asked to walk around she was told to walk with me and she wanted to send me out to walk alone...i had to remind her that she needed to walk with me per the Nurse request.

Other than the potty mouth room mate and the one uncaring nurses aide....everyone else was great and my stay was a great one.

I really loved Dr. Boorse. I just met him for my surgeon consultation. He was wonderful and really explained everything to me. He took his time and reviewed all of my question thoroughly. I really feel confident with my decision to have my surgery done by him. The office staff was very nice. The girl at the desk seemed a little stand offish, compared to the rest of the office. If I had one complaint, it would be the girl at check-in. Other than that, everything was great!

I met with Dr Harrison three time but I have not decide what am going to do yet. I had Gastric by pass surgery in NYC with DR Elliot Goodman and I need to have the Revision done again but not sure what to do.

I had my surgery done by another doctor in Atlantic City, NJ in 2006 Dr Kouli. I liked his bedside manner and the surgery was good overall.

If it weren't for Dr Harrison to get me on tract with my fills. He took on another doctors work without any issues, helped me. Without him my lapband would have been a failure.

I feel as though I made the correct choice in a surgeon. I met Dr. Harrison at a free information session that was offered by the hospital at which my surgery was done. I was immediately impressed with his passion for his profession and the pride with which he spoke of his patients successes. Dr. Harrison has made it his objective to help people beat Diabetes and the other complications of obesity. He did a great job of allieviating my husband's concerns prior to my surgery. I have seen him 3 times since my surgery on 1/4/10 and on all 3 visits, he was genuinely concerned about my progress. He assured me when I was feeling discouraged and was always positive and supportive. His staff have always been pleasant, respectful and professional in their demeanor. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Dr. Harrison to anyone considering gastric bypass surgery.

I only have good things to say about Dr. Boorse. He is very friendly and outgoing, but professional. His office staff is also friendly and very helpful. Dr. Boorse made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions thoroughly. I work for the same institution that his practice is in so I knew I was in good hands and that it was the best place for me to be.

I first met with Dr. Harrison from General Surgical Associates for my pre-op appointment and he went over the surgery and what to expect. He was patient and understanding and answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable with him. He was understanding the morning of my surgery when I was upset and worried. He came in to check on me throught the next 36 hours of my hospital stay. rnrnI would recommend Dr. Harrison to anyone as he is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. He has always explained everything in terms that I could understand. The office staff at General Surgical Associates has always been friendly and professional, and I don't have to wait in the waiting room for too long!
