Originally I was scheduled with Dr. Fisher. He was very competent, nice, friendly, and up front about what I was doing. He explained in detail what to expect, etc. When I had lost my 10% and had surgery scheduled with him, they called to say that he would be on vacation. I could wait for him or move my surgery one day and switch to Dr. Park. Dr. Park was the doctor at the orientation and I was comfortable with what she said there, so I switched. She was very thorough also. I was impressed with the knowledge that she had and that she never thought less of me because I am going through the surgery. My impression of her only improved with time.

The office staff are great! They are there to help with every step -- pre surgery and post surgery. The aftercare is structured and they follow up with me to make sure that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing. I feel that I can always call and ask questions.

Dr. Park is the best!

I thought that the hospital was great. The staff was great at night but daytime they had more things to do and more people awake to deal with so it took a bit longer to get what one needed.

Overall

How much privacy did you feel the hospital gave you?
How accommodating was the hospital in allowing visitors to see you?
How restfully quiet did you find your experience?
How responsive did you feel the hospital was in give you pain medications?
How responsive do you feel the staff was in helping you with your general needs during your stay?
How sensitive was the staff to the needs of overweight patients?
How would you rate the parking accomodations?
How safe did you feel that the hospital was well equiped enough to handle any medical emergency that might arise during your stay there?

She was so nice and I really enjoyed her.
I dont have anything negative to say about Dr. Park. She was very professional and listened and answered every question I had.
She strongly suggested following the aftercare schedule very strictly.
There is a very structured aftercare program to follow.
I would rate her a 10!!!

My first impression of Dr. Park is that she was attentive, caring and very knowledge about the procedure in which she would perform on me (Lap). The staff at KP Richmond was great. Dr. Park is caring and sensitive to your needs and concerns but a the same time, her first and most important issue is that you understand what you are doing and the risk involved.

KP Richmond has a very structured after care plan and you have to sign a contract adhering to the program after care program. I would rate Dr. Park 125% and I love her to dealth. Everything about Dr. Park was awesome.

My first impression of Dr. Baggs was great. I have heard good things about him from a co-worker who had the surgery years ago. He did address the risks of the surgey and made me feel very comfortable. The staff at the Richmond office is great, they are very informative and friendly.

dr. baggs was great i loved him i had seen him at the orientation and thought id love for him to be my dr... he was very straight forward and ddint pull any punches but yet he was very tactfull about it.. he was veery good about letting my know the risk of surgery and how things could happen....i havent dalt with the office staff only one person and she was great...i think he is great ........ both his bedside mannor and his sergical competience r great......i would referr my friends to him in a heartbeat>>>>

Dr. Baggs and his staff were great! Surgery went like clock work, I was very impressed. However the Nursing staff on the ward were the worse I have every been exposed to. First off they were very short handed, they did not or could not respond to all the patients requests, the patient in the room next to me had called and called then as she was having problems, she was yelling for help, I ended up getting up and getting a nurse to come in to check on her. There was no personal care, nio compassion and definately NO communication between the nurses and the patients. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Something needs to be done there.

My 1st impression presurgery he scared me he spoke about the surgery at an orientation class I went to an really did not pull any punches about the risk of surgery an was very professional. When I had my 1 on 1 appointment with him I liked him alot he was very personable and answered all my questions. I am a little older than many who have the surgery so the risk is greater but I have confidence in his skill as a surgeon and am anxious to start my new life post surgery.
My experience with the staff in the Bariatric unit at Kaiser Richmond so far has been very good all are friendly and very encouraging. Overall my experience has been great pre surgery.

Judith Park is a professional. She was very business like and no nonsense. She was direct about her questions and quickly responding to my answers and questions. She emphasized about the pre surgery care, the after care and the changes that needed to be made for the rest of my life.

Dr.Park greeting me prior to surgery and visited my that evening. She continued to be positive and supportive and very upbeat about how my surgery transpired.

I would rate Ms. Park "TOPNOTCH"

Her bedside manner was again professional and competant.

Perhaps Ms. Park did tell me along will all the others, but I was not aware of the possibility of getting a call 48 hours prior to my surgery to come into the 'Richmond' Kaiser (ONLY) and get weighed by 2:00PM that day or surgery would be cancelled.I was 3 lbs under goal,
