The hospital, in my opinion was bad in 1989 and is much worse now. In fact, I had to sign papers at the hospital about three days before I went in. There was a very distraught woman who said she had spent the last 6 hours trying to get someone to help her husbands pain. She was out of her mind with watching him suffer... it was a sign of things to come when I got my turn in Highland. I would be petrified to have anyone I love in there. In fact, if my Mom ever had to go, I'd stay with her full time. I'd never leave her side and would still worry.
I will NEVER go to this hospital ever again, IF I HAVE A CHOICE. Bad deal, bad hospital. Good nurses, but they really need to do some changing at this hospital.

I think the care was good to excellent. I did have a problem with one nurse who took 50 minutes to get me pain medication, but everyone else was right on time.
