My only bad experience was a nurse arguing with me about something stupid

I had surgery on Thurs. and because of lack of beds, spent until Fri. afternoon in Recovery. BUT, the nursing staff in Recovery couldn't have been better. They literally bent over backwards to see that I had everything I needed. From my experience, I'd recommend HUMC to anyone.

This hospital wants you to pay out of pocket for the operation and then you have to get reimbursed by your insurance company. This policy goes into place on April 1, 2003 and it's not an April fools joke. Talk about descriminating aginst overweight people!

A lot of the nurses that are on the floor where the gastric bypass patients stay also had the surgery themselves! So they are sensitive to the needs of the patient.

See above. If I had my choices I would go back to Valley Hospital.
