Emory Johns Creek Hospital (COE) Hospital

The bariatric wing is nick-named the Ritz. The hospital beds turn into chairs with the push of a button, the rooms a carpeted, and the hallway is hardwood. The only reason my experience wasn't restful is that I was restless.

The hospital was wonderful. The nurses were right there when you rang for them, your pain meds were there quickly. They were very caring and attentive. I vomited a lot the first night and my nurse was right there every time. My mother stayed with me night and day and they treated her awesome as well. They had her a place to sleep right next to me. I wouldn't have had my surgery anywhere else

Emroy Dunwoody is a wonderful hospital. They have their own wing for WLS and the jokingly call it "the Ritz". It is more like a very fine hotel. All rooms are private and they encourage you to have family members stay with you, providing pillows, beds, etc. They have a shower room equiped with a huge tiled 2 headed shower, and a stone bench and a heated towel rack. The staff is amazing you couldnt ask for a more dedicated group of people from the techs, to the nurses, and the doctors they are wonderful people.

From the moment I arrived for my registration, the entire staff made me feel warm, welcome and special. While I was in the hospital, several staff members checked in with me after they clocked out to make sure I was okay. I was in excellent hands.

I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone, the staff was wonderful, the spa bathroom was great and I loved the beds they had that folded right up to let you down easily.

I received top notch care. The nurses were very kind and helpful and didn't let me forget that I could ask for pain medicine when I needed it. They helped me to the restroom the first day when I couldn't get around well and took super care of me.

This hospital has its own bariatric wing. It is brand new. I had a private room, where my relatives waited for me during the surgery. The room had a sleeper couch as well, so they could rest and even stay the night. Very accomodating. Everyone was very nice.

To sum it up.....I asked if I could stay another night or so!

I would not have changed a thing.

In all honesty, Emory Dunwoody was excellent. Most of the nurses were EXTREMELY nice & helpful. They made me feel right at home & made sure I was comfortable at all times.

I actually did not want to leave. The hospital was very comfortable and the nursing staff was wonderful. I had this great nurse Kay Kay and she was a dream. I think I want to be a nurse now.
