Emory Johns Creek Hospital (COE) Hospital
The hospital staff fantastic, worthy of awards, and accolades. Very clean, nice, quiet, and interactive. The kitchen staff never just but you tray down and left, they talk to you! The housekeeping staff they also talked with you. The thing I loved the most was the fact during shift change the nurses and tech introduced to the person replacing you.

Everything was really great at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. The staff was very nice and accommadating to me and my family. They did not push me to do anything I was not ready for, and always let me know how I was doing. My only complaint was that they could have been a little quicker when I would contact them to get more pain medication. I know there were other patients, but when I say I need my meds - I need my meds. However, I learned not to wait until I was actually in pain to request them due to this process.
Great hospital and great staff! They were all very warm and caring during my stay! I even had staff from other departments that I dealt with along the way come up and visit me. I never once felt like a fat patient! They have their own bariatric program. You leave the hospital with a robe and little nylon bag full of books and resources that have come in handy!
I had a wonderful experience during my WLS stay. Everyone (OR nurses, anesthesiologist, bariatric wing nurses and technicians) was very friendly, introducing themselves and telling me what they were doing. I have never experienced such warmth and friendliness in the health care field. I only had one nurse and one technician (on my first day) with whom I was not completely happy. It's also a very beautiful hospital. Lynne Winne, the bariatric coordinator is awesome!!! She came into my room, introduced herself and gave me her card. It meant a lot and it's helped me since then to be able to email her for helpful information.
I would definately recommend this hospital and my surgeon, Dr. Hart, to anyone!!!!
My husband had his RNY Bypass on 10/20/10 and I had mine on 11/10/10 (with Dr. Hart). We both feel that we had excellent care. The staff was very attentive and accomadating. The hospital has an excellant Bariatric facility and we both said we would go there again if in need. We also attend monthly Bariatric support group meetings with coordinator Lynne Winne "Excellent".
My experience was one of very good care from the time I walked into preop to post op care. I had my surgery on Good Friday when it was obvious that alot of discharges had just happened for the holiday weekend which left me nearly alone with excellent care. My surgeon was wonderful and professional and so far am pleased but still a little early to make a good judgment. I want to get through full recovery with no complications before giving an offficial recommendation. Really loved the Emory Johns Creek facility.
