An awful experience. I will never go there again if I have a choice.

CMC-Mercy is great, the nurses are there for you to help you when ever you need them. The Dr. visit you regularly to make sure you are doing good. I would highly recomend this hospital for wls surgery.

The staff and every person from the nurses to the anesthesiologist were absolutely wonderful; and I had a great experience.

It was a wonderful experience. They have rooms specifically for bariatric patients. The staff is wonderful.

Since this hospital does not have a formal bariatric program supporting weight loss surgery, the staff and equipment are not "patient friendly" towards obese people.

The nursing and radiology depts had several people in them that were extremely rude and made comments under their breath about my weight. It was hard to get anyone to come into my room to help me if I paged from the bathroom. I had the open RNY and needed help post-op cleaning after BMs and was met with hostility when I asked the nursing staff for help.

When I was back in the same hospital 2 yrs later and quite a bit smaller I was treated very differently, much better. It was very evident that there was a discrimination or bad attitude towards obese patients.

The nurses, assistants and therapist that worked with me were excellent. They made my stay relaxful and kept me will informed of what was going on.

I felt very safe and cared for in this hospital and not like a number. The care was individualized and when I called for a nurse they came quickly.

I had to finally complain to administration because they didn't respond to my calls when I pushed the button and needed the 30cc pill cups for my liquids.
