California Pacific Medical Center (COE) Hospital
The staff and nurses were amazing, very caring and always on top of things. The nurses even sent me a get well card! The only downside is that I ended on the floor below that most WLS are on, and I was in a small private room that was more of a "closet" (as Dr. C. called it..haha). It wasn't bad but I had heard other rooms had a nice view of the city or the bridge. My window view wasn't as gorgeous.
Overall, the experience was excellent. The room was fantastic with a view of the Golden Gate bridge. The unfortunate part of that is I was billed extra for a private room even though I neither requested one, or expected it. All of the nursing staff were great with the exception of a nurse named Janet. I felt she was very condescending and unfriendly. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and chalk that up to her just having a bad night.
I had the most excellent service from the moment I checked in for surgery. From my admitting nurse,OR Tech and all of my recovery nurses. Every person was incredibly friendly and very helpful. I could not of had my surgery at a better hospital. I had my own room with a great tv/stereo with hard wood floors. It looked more like a hotel room than a hospital room. Even people who were not directly involved in my care were great to talk to while I walked the halls.
