Dr.Nease is a wonderful and talented surgeon. He has a very warm personality and truly cares about his patients. He has a special place in his heart for obese patients, because obesity took the life of his father. He totally commits his practice to WLS. His staff is just as wonderful as he is. Kim and Tabitha are willing to help you anytime you need something. I had to call Dr.Nease on the weekend about a small complication and he returned my call within 10 minutes. They really put their patients first. I never thought I would say this, but I'm glad I was denied a year ago. God was just waiting for me to have the best surgeon possible.

My nurses gave me excellent care, especially one named Cheri and a guy named Wayne. They were supposed to have bariatric suites, but they weren't finished. However, they gave me a private room and my husband was allowed to stay with me. It was a little noisy because of construction, but overall I had a good experience.

My first impression of Dr. Nease was from his online photo and credentials, but over all it was well. When I finally met him at the seminar it improved quite a bit. He is a great man. His staff is awesome. I cant wait for my consults and my surgery and post op treatment w/him.

This is the best hospital that I have ever been in. My calls were answered quickly and the day shift staff was great. I have never been in a hospital where they really do things at the time that it is to be done. The nurse that checked me in was wonderful. I was treated like a human being should be treated. I have nothing bad to say about the hospital. I was taken very good care of.

My first impression of Dr. Nease was that he was very concerned about my needs. His office staff are just wonderful. If I had to rate him overall I give him a 10 (with 10 being the highest). He has very good bedside manners. I was suppose to have this surgery back in August of 2004. But I am glad that I didn't because I wouldn't want anyone else to do my surgery but Dr. Nease.

Dr Nease is the best. He has a genuine concern for the obese. His seminar was informative and helped to clear up confusion on the many different types of surgery. He has a humorous side and I really liked his honesty. His references are impeccable, based on the research I have done. I choose Dr Nease because of his experience and I am so glad I found him.

His office staff always addressed you like they knew you for a 100 years. They were personable and helpful throughout the entire process. After I filled out my personal info and provided the insurance infor I did not have to do anything at all. Marla called me to get me scheduled for a a psyche evaluation. The next call after my psyche appointment was my surgery date. what could have been easier. I have never gotten so much personal hands on caring people in my life as I have from Dr. Neases staff. Dr Nease went over the risks of surgery not only with me personally but also in a pre-opt class and seminar. In a pre-opt class I was walked through what to expect day of surgery from checking in to when my family can see me, when to expect to leave.

Even the Garden grove hospital staff was great. they all knew Dr. Nease and his patients and were wonderful throughout my stay.

Dr. Nease has a strict post op care. Starting with checkup appointment about 7 days post op. But got a call from there staff the day after I left the hospital just to see how i'm doing. Also required a nutrition class. Which will help me to navigate through the rest of my life living with RNY. I would highly recommend Dr. Nease to everyone who wants this surgery. His talent, competence, humorous bedside manner and surgical experience is top of the line. I am so glad I found him!

The first time I met Dr. Nease was at a Support Group Meeting in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was very knowledgable and caring about over weight people. I really liked his all around attitude and ability to make you feel important. His office staff were GREAT!!!!! Vicky, Sue and Sheila, always made me feel important, also. The after care was really great. I would tell anyone that is thinking about having the surgery and are in fairly good health, to go for it. Dr. Nease explained every risk and explained not only at his seminar, but also in the office. I would rate him a 10 in my book!!! He had a great bedside manner and had great surgical compentence!! I went to the reunion at the Life Center April 25th, it was great seeing everyone. Dr. Nease seemed to enjoy seeing all his patients from Ohio. Well, I am 1 year and 6 mos. after my surgery and I feel great have lost 95 to 100 pounds, I am balancing back and forth. I weighed 235 before now I weigh 135 to 140. I love buying new clothes and feeling better about myself. Thank you so very much Dr. Nease and all your staff for taking such good care of me and caring.
Yours Truly,
Pam Penwell

Dr. Nease was knowledable, experienced and caring. Obesity touched his family and that made his commitment to help others that much more sincere.

Everyone on the staff is excellent. They were my first contact with Dr. Nease and went out of their way to answer my questions, meet with me and make me feel comfortable.

Dr. Nease is truly concerned about each and evey one of his patients. He visits you, makes sure you understand everything and answers all your questions.

The importance of aftercare is stressed a lot. Support groups are offered twice a month and you are welcome to call and visit the office any time.

The risks, as well as the benefits, of surgery were discussed so that you could make a completely informed decision about surgery.

I definitly recommend Dr. Nease to anyone considering bariatric surgery. I researched a lot of doctors and not only felt most comfortable with Dr. Nease, but also trust his experience in bariatric surgery.

Surgical competence is more important than bedside manner, however, bedside manner is very important as well and Dr. Nease has both, which is why I chose him over the others I researched.

I did not have any negative experience in regards to my surgery, my doctor, his staff, or the hospital. I know it sounds unbelievable, but I researched so well that if there had been any negative experience beforehand I would have gone elsewhere. This surgery was too important and serious to leave if to anyone less than the best and I believe Dr. Nease is the best.

I attended on of Dr. Nease's seminars and found him to very competent and very compassionate toward the morbidly obese. He seems to be very well trained and even worked with the team of doctors that perfected the laproscopic procedure for weight loss surgery. That impressed me very much. His practice doesn't have a problem getting medicare to pay for this surgery if you meet their guidelines. He and his staff were wonderful.

he saved my life. we have known dr.nease since 2000 when he fixed a herna on my
daughter, and gastric bypass on my grandaughter. and i trust him more than anyone ,
his staff are great also and Syliva is wonderful and very helpfull.
if your thinking about this and trying to pick the right doctor then i would pick dr.nease I'm 68 and was close to 400 lbs.
have needed this done for a long while but i didn't feel safe withone else and nobody wanted to do it either they said it couldn't be done because of my age. so when i heard he was coming back to our area i know my prayers were answered.
my surgery was 1/3/05 and i feel great have not been sick at all. he does a great job addressing the surgery and all the risks and he tells you why he is doing this and his staff are very great and I rate him on a scale of 1-20 a 100 that's how great he is .
