My first impression of Dr. Nease was at the seminar. He was very open and up front about the risks of the surgery. He has a confidence about himself that is assuring and comforting. As time went on my faith in him only grew. The staff in his office are wonderful and always willing to help. They are very caring and return calls promptly. Educating the patient is a top priority. The importance of follow-up and after care are strongly emphasized. There are regular support group meetings scheduled monthly. I find that the combination of both surgical competence, and bedside manner, make Dr. Nease a wonderful surgeon. My only complaint about the care at Dr. Nease's office is the amount of time spent waiting to see the doctor. Especially for those patients who are traveling 3-4 hours to an appointment.

My first impression of Dr. Nease was that he seemed to be very caring towards his patients. That impression turned out to be true. His staff is very friendly and helpful. He makes sure you are very informed about the surgery and have the proper support with nutrition and caring for yourself. The only negative thing I experienced was that he is sometimes very rushed at appointments. He will however answer any question you have for him thoroughly. I know many people that have had gastric bypass with different surgons and I can say that Dr. Nease is more thorough about patient testing and education than any other doctor I have heard of. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have this surgery.

Dr. Nease is awesome! He's such a friendly guy. First time I met him I knew I was in good hands. His informational seminar was very informative. You can definately tell he loves his job. His whole staff is very nice, too.

Dr.Nease is the most caring doctor I have ever met. He really treats you like he honestly cares how you do after the surgery. He doesn't just treat you like a number or more money to line his pockets, like a lot of doctors seem to do anymore. His office staff are all the same way, they really DO care. I liked them all, and have nothing bad to say about my whole experience with them so far. I have complete confidence in Dr.Nease and his staff. My surgery went very well, and I have only had one minor complication. I got a MRSA staff infection in one of my incision sites, but with proper care from Dr. Nease and the right antibiotics, it healed very nicely!rnI would recommend Dr. Nease and his staff to anyone! As a matter of fact, I already have recommended him to some family members looking into this surgery and some friends also.

Before I attended the initial seminar I was still largely unsure about surgery, by the end of the seminar I knew that surgery was a necessary step for me, and that Dr.Nease was the surgeon I wanted to see. rnrnMy first impression of Dr.Nease was that his biggest concern was for the patient, he was bluntly honest, a trait I like someone who is going to be cutting into my torso to have, that instantly won my trust and respect. At this point he has my complete faith. rnrnHis staff has been completely amazing from the very beginning of this process, they do absolutely everything they can to inform patients about surgery and post-op care and life changes that come with surgery to the point of giving patients lists of food/drink items that are apropriate through each phase of post-op diets (my phase 2 list is still on my refrigerator for some reason...maybe im just lazy.) Both the dietary and medical classes are incredibly detailed and thurough. If I have any questions about medications or foods, that information is at my disposal here at home. rnrnOn May 19th 2006 I turned 23, had surgery on May 30th, on Sept. 8th I had lost 84lbs, im writing this on Sept. 21st and for the first time since I was 17 I weigh under 350lbs.rnrnI've heard alot of people say that Dr.Nease gave them a 2nd lease on life, but after being plagued by a lifetime of obesity I never had a lease on life to renew, I feel alive for the first time in my existance. Thank you Dr.Nease, Tabitha, Marsha, Kim, and my nurses (whose names I feel horrible for not remembering) for being the people that you are and doing the jobs that you do, the gift you give is life.

im a tall person, and the only problem i had was getting into my bed/chair after walking, it sat slightly high, tho if they had a foot stool, would have been perfect.
