Barix Clinics - Michigan Hospital
I cannot say enough about BTC. From the very first person I dealt with to the last. From surgeon to cleaning personnel, they were kind, considerate and compassionate in my care. My every need was met, my questions answered without me feeling stupid. My nurses were top notch, kept me doing what I needed to do to get up and out of there. I appreciated this and know that my wonderful recovery is due to the excellent care I had and the aftercare. I would recommend BTC in Ypsilanti to anyone and everyone. I can't sing their praises enough. I know because of them that I have been and will continue to be successful in this journey.
The care on arrival and directly after surgery was excellent. I can't say enough about the nurses. However, when they moved me from the second floor to the third floor--it was chaotic. I was rushed to wake up and get moving that we were all (5 of us) moving upstairs. I asked for a second to get my bearings and was told there wasn't time---just to grab my purse and they would pack the rest of my things up and bring them to me. This was all while I was in a deep morphine state. I got my purse and moved as quickly as I could. My things were brought up to me---minus my personal cd player and wallet of cds. Don't bring anything you want to take home with you. This was deeply disturbing to me.
Many of the nurses on the 3rd floor were nice but some were very unattentive and didn't seem to take the needs of patients seriously. My roommate went through a terrible ordeal because of this.
I thought everything went well, I had a few things I thought could have been a little better taken care of. Like at one point my IV leaked (just a few drops but still) there was blood on the floor & I thought It should have been immediately cleaned up, This also happened with my roomy & that was not cleaned up quickly either. Also after our enimas* (sp) they never really SCRUBBED the floor.
