My first impression of Dr. Roe hmmm, Black jeans, black turtleneck, black cowboy boots, pleasant face. Then he spoke. He was very personable. By the time I had left his office I knew this was the surgeon for me. His office staff is very direct and organized. However I did find myself suffering through a long waiting period in his office. He is down to earth and spoke on a level that I could understand. He encouraged questions. He laid it out straight. He never sugar coated the procedure but still had a way of reassuring me that this wasn't any more dangerous than having my appendix out. Every step of the way, from day of surgery to your last follow up visit is handled with seriousness. After care is very important. Like Dr. Roe says, "this is a tool he is able to give me, what I do with it will determine my success rate in weight loss".

I met Dr. Roe on Saturday November 8, 2003 at his Power Point Seminar. It was a great presentation, he was very wonderful. It was about an hour and a half and very well thought out, he not only explained the surgery, but also gave background on his history as a surgern. He was honest and staright to the point. He not only spoke of the benefits, but also of any complications that may occur. I have an appointment with him on Thursday November 13, 2003.

The members of his staff that were with him were very nice, and really know the ins and outs of dealing with insurance companys. They gave us a lot of great advice.

Dr. Roe is a very laid-back, but professional doctor. He was very willing to answer any question that I had concerning the surgery, and his staff was there to fight for me when the insurance company wanted to play games.
I am currently on a monthly visitation with him and he emphasises the importance of keeping up with these visits. Dr. Roe is extremely competent, his beside manner is great, and he has done nothing but encourage me since having my surgery in July. I really can't praise him enough for saving my life and getting me back into good health!

I am pleased with Dr. Roe and his staff. I like the initial group consultation where he goes over the surgery, risks, etc., very informative. He makes sure you understand the procedure, the risks that are involved, as well as the commitment that is required by the patient.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR.ROE WAS,HE'S NOT YOUR AVERAGE DOCTOR.AS THE MEETING WENT ON I FOUND THAT HE WAS VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD.TO THE POINT.HIS STAFF I MET BRIEFLY.THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN ANSWERING QUESTIONS.I HAVE HEARD NOTHING BUT WONDERFUL THINGS ABOUT THEM.I DID'NT FIND ANYTHING THAT WAS'NT LIKABLE ABOUT HIM.ANYONE THINKING OF CONSULTING WITH DR.ROE SHOULD KNOW IF YOUR LOOKING FOR SUGAR COATED EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE PERFECT.MOVE ON!HE IS NOT THE ONE. BUT IF YOU WANT A DOCTOR WHO IS TRUTHFUL,HONEST,CONFIDENT THEN HES THE MAN FOR YOU.HE THINKS THAT AFTERCARE IF MOST CRUCIAL.HE DOES HAVE A STRUCTURED AFTERCARE PROGRAM.HE ADRESSED THE RISK HE DID.NT HOLD BACK ON WHAT COULD HAPPEN.THR WAY HE SAID EVERYTHING YOU FELT NO MATTER WHAT THE RISK YOU FEEL LIKE HE WOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT.ON A SCALE OF 1-10 HES A 12.WELL IM PREOP SO I'VE NOT HAD THE PLEASURE OF HIS BEDSIDE MANNER. BUT IM SURE HE'S GREAT.

VERY NICE IMPRESSIONAL MAN. DR ROE GAVE A VERY INFORMATIVE ORIENTATION AT gOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL ON JUNE 30,2003. THERE WERE ABOUT 100 PEOPLE THERE. AFTER THE ORIENTATION WAS OVER, WE HAD TO CALL ON mONDAY AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE HIM ONE ON ONE. I WAS VERY UPSET BECAUSE I HAD MADE MY APPOINTMENT SIX MONTHS EARLIER. WELL TO MY SUPRISE, ON MONDAY, I GOT AN APPOINTMENT ON aUGUST 1,2003 AT 10:00 AM. I HAVE TO HAVE ALL OF MY REFERRALS IN ORDER,WHICH I DO AND THEN I'LL JUST WAIT FOR THE APPROVAL FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY. I DONT WANT ANY ATUFF EITHER BECAUSE I PAY TOO MUCH FOR MY HALTH INSURANCE FOR THEM TO TURN ME DOWN. I WILL BE BE BACK IN TOUCH.BEST WISHES EVERYBODY WHO READS MY PROFILE

Dr. Roe, Dawn, and Joan are great. I could not ask for better people to handle everything. Dawn made a point to get my letter out the same day because she was going on vacation at the end of the day. She wanted to make sure it was sent as soon as possible. Everyone in the office goes that extra mile for their patients.

Dr. Roe seems to have dedicated a part of his surgical practice to the bariatric field. He is wonderful!

After 9 months post-op Dr. Roe is still very interested in my health and well being!
The office staff is wonderful!

His office is about a 45 minute drive from home.
He has a great education and interest in the treatment of obesity.
Dr. Roe has a wonderful aftercare program, I still see him regularly.
Monthly support meetings

Pre-op meeting we spent about 1/2 hour talking about risks.
I have total respect and faith in this man, he is probably one of the best doctors I've ever met!
Both are EXCELLENT!
