I had my surgery in August of 2004, so I am now a little over 1 year post op. Dr. Clark and his Staff were wonderful, informative and supportive. I never felt the dr. was "rushed" at any of my appointments, he always took the time to talk to me before and after my surgery. Dr. Clark and staff made my life changing decision a positive experience in all ways. I was fortunate to have no complications and have to admit that in my opinion everything was a sucess. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone. If I had it all to do over again, I would gladly go back to him.
When I first met Dr. C and his staff I was so impressed. I was so used to other doctors being standoffish and their staff being non approachable. Dr. C and his staff makes you feel like family and that you are truly cared for. He is a very caring man. He is always there if I need him. He was like that while I was in the hospital. I couldn't have chosen a better surgeron.
Dr. Clark and his staff are the most wonderful people in the world. They truly care about their patients and celebrate with them at every step in the journey. I have recommended them to anyone who asks and will continue to recommend them because of the after care. Dr. Clark is the BEST in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Thank you, Dr. Clark and staff - I love you and owe you my life.
Dr. Clark and his whole staff is absolutely wonderful. He takes time with you and you never feel rushed. My husband was impressed with Dr. Clark and how he explains everything in detail to you. His office staff is so supportive when you call the office. They are very thorough in their questions and emphasize to call and ask any questions, no matter how small or silly you think they are. About a week after surgery I called in with some pain that I was having and the nurse took time with and asked several questions and made me feel very calm. She explained exactly what was happening and why I was having the pain. I was afraid that my drain site was getting infected because suddenly I was having horrible pain from there, but it turns out that the gastric juices were backing up out of the site and irritating the skin. When she described to me what the site looked like that was exactly what was happening to me. She explained what to do to alleviate this pain and it worked. But she also let know that if the next day things were not better then they would get me in to see Dr. Clark. That made me feel good. They weren't just brushing me off. I felt 100% better when I hung up the phone. Dr. Clark and his staff have a wonderful support network and it was explained in great detail exactly what to expect before, during and after surgery plus all the risks involved. I think it is important to of course have surgical competence but bedside manner just as important. I would recommend this office to anyone looking to have this procedure done. I am very pleased.
I met with Dr. Clark and his staff today for a free seminar about the surgery. I had already decided before I even went to the seminar that I was going to have this surgery. And after listening to Dr. Clark and his staff members I was asured that I had made the right decision. I trust him and his staff with my life, and I am very eager and ready to start this new mission in my life. I would give Dr. Clark and his staff a rate of 10++ because they are so caring and concern....thanks
I thought the doc, was simply a god send!
my impression never changed about the doc, he simply just made me feel even more sure that this was exactly what I needed to do.The staff is in my opion, were the angels I needed to carry me through it all, I never felt alone,or even confused.I really can't say there was any thing i did notlike about Dr. Clark.I think everyone should know that Dr. Clark will make you feel as if you have known him and his staff, most of all your life. You will be that confortable around them. You will think you have this staff right in your own home, they are there for all you need and much more. The after care structure is so complete, you will just simply flow through the program, without to much problem. The only real problem I had was, that I had became LACTOS INTOLERANT.(only for a short time) It is not really that bad, it makes your chocies in what you can eat a lot less stressfull, but thats okay.Even thier support, made that an easy flow! They will cover every angle of the surgery all the way through your recovery period. You will be made aware of all the risk and possable problems that some may run into. If i had to rate Dr.Clark. it probably would be a 10+++++++ To me, he is simply " THE MIRACLE MAN".
I went to a seminar with Dr. Clark. Seems to be very professional yet approachable. Answered all our questions even my husbands and even though Dr.Clark had another meeting to go to, he did not rush us or push us out the door. The office staff is very friendly. They seem to know their patients by name when they walk through the front door.
I had heard so many wonderful things about him from other patients. I went to the seminar and was truly impressed with his manner and knowledge. He was very honest about everything associated with the surgery through all phases.
My Husband pulled him aside to ask questions and he answered them with great confidence.
His office staff is AWESOME! They all have the patients best interest at heart!
Aftercare is very important, they have a huge program for before and after surgery!!!!
He visits you in the hospital every morning and makes you feel very cared about!
Dr Clarke is a excellent surgeon with an awsome bedside manner. His entire staff is kind and supportive. His aftercare plan is very extensive and he offers a monthly support group through his practice.
He explained all about the surgery to me prior including the risks and complications that were possible. His stats are actually much better than the national average.
I would rate him and his entire practice a 11 out of a possible 10.
I really have no negative to state, they handled everything for me from insurance to my works FMLA paperwork, even faxed it back to my work so I did not have to make the trip.
Prior to surgery he required I have a phy review, attend a seminar, a 3 hr nutricion class, EKG, Bloodwork and Im sure theres something Im forgetting, but everything went smoothly. No problems with any of my appointments that they made.
