I havent had the chance yet to meet him one on one but I have my 3hour class tomorrow and will gwt to actually talk to him then. But I did attend the support group meetimg last month and was very impressed to see him there! It was very comforting to have him there and I look forward to seeing him tomorrow! The office staff has been the greatest, they have always called me to notify of any changes, and has made this very smooth as this is very scary for me . I have never had surgery of any kind, and they have made me feel more at ease with it.I am getting so excited about the surgery!

I started this process in November 2002 by calling for an appointment..was told I had to be sent papers to read and call back to the office if I was still interested. I called back and finally after about two weeks was set up for an appointment for an educational seminar in January. I could not believe that this took such a long time. I thought these people were putting me off.
Now, it is March 6, 2003 and my surgery is scheduled for Monday March 10, 2003 at Riverside Hospital. That's only 4 days away.It is so hard for me to believe that it's almost time.
I'm a 55 year old female that has just recently married(Feb, 4,2003) and a mother of 3 sons(and my husband has a son and a daughter) and a grandmother of 7 (10 if you count my husband's). I have been overweight for about 30 years and hate to get up in the mornings because I hurt so much. Just to tie my shoe takes my breath away. I still work 40 hours a week and have a hard time climbing stairs(which is required in my job). I've been in my present job for 16 years and really love the job.
I'm off the subject..sorry..I had my first visit with Dr. Clark on the 4th. Really I had seen him in an educational class a few weeks ago but never talked to him. He made me feel so much better about the surgery. He is so nice and wants the very best for his patients.
His office peolpe make you feel so at ease after you make the decision and know the risks with the surgery.

I have found Dr. Clark to be a very kind and caring physician. He was very highly recommended to me by other physicians and patients. After surgery I developed a wound infection, and not one day went by that I was hospitalized that he did not come to see me and administer care to me. I was and still am very impressed with him and his entire staff. I do not hesitate to sing his praises to others who express interest in bariatric surgery and highly recommend to them that they attend group support meetings which are sponsored by WLSC and follow up with Dr. Clark's office.

I feel that Dr. Clark not only combines excellent surgical competence, but also combines it with a genuine caring bedside manner!

I attended a seminar on Oct. 8,2002. I thought Dr. Clark was very open, honest about the surgery. He discussed the pros and the cons of the surgery. He stressed that this is just a tool to help you loose weight.

2/18/03 - Dr. Clark was awesome. he came in my room every morning on rounds and answered everything I needed. my first post-op appointment i had a lot of questions. he took as much time as i needed to answer them clearly. i am very happy with my choice of surgeon. he is great.

1/27/03 - I attended the 3-hour seminar that Dr. Clark provides for his patients and I found it to be very helpful. We got to meet with the medical psychologist and go over the depression stages, mood changes etc. and then we met with the nutritionist. She went into very detailed dieting and basically what you need to do to stay on the right track. Lastly, we met with a nurse who works on the floor that gastric bypass patients stay on. She was also a patient of Dr. Clarks so it made the entire a lot more personable. She could relate to everything thought we had about being overweight. She had been there and done that. I think that the seminar is a great education tool about this surgery. Dr. Clark really seems to care and wants his patients to be as informed as possible before going through with this surgery. He gets an A+++ in my book. And all the speakers for the seminar were great. Very informed and also very down to earth. It was overall a very good experience.

6/26/02 - Well I have just finish with the initial class that Dr. Clark offers. I found Dr. Clark to be very friendly and caring. The information he went over helped me to look at this surgery in every light. He was very informing and was right there to answer any questions that we had. He reviewed all of the risks thouroughly. He also spoke about the aftercare program and diet. He encouraged everyone to begin the group sessions so that we could talk to others who have had the surgery done and what their take on it is.

Shawn and Tracy from Dr. Clarks office have been great in helping me to get all of my needs taken care of. They both have been right on the ball with anything I have asked or requested. They both give a great personal touch to Dr. Clarks office.

I first met Dr. Clark during my daughter's 1st post op visit. He was very gentle and had a good bedside manner. I feel comfortable and trust him to perform my own surgery. The staff is very imformative and helpful. At this time I do not have any complaints. He is very upfront regarding the procedure and risks involved. Dr. Clark is fanatic about taking your vitamins, eating properly, etc. There are support ongoing support groups and the staff is always available. He did not sugarcoat any risks involved. So far my experience gives him an A+ rating. My experiences with him during and after my daughter's surgery were great. He is professional as well as personable.
