Dr. Hoehn was great! Some of the surgeons I checked out, before I saw Dr. Hoehn, felt like a used care salesman trying to sell me something I really didn't want. Dr. Hoehn does at least three different bariatric surgeries, so he didn't tied to selling me one over the other. He helped me choose the right one for me. Also, Dr. Hoehn figures that since he can perform his surgeries quickly and get a few more people through, and he is already making plenty of money, so he doesn't need to charge as much as a lot of surgeons. Additionally, I felt very safe and secure in Dr. Hoehn's care. He was up on the latest research, and could talk to me from that stand point.

This is no hype... Dr. Hoehn saved my life! I was morbidly overweight causing me to be in and out of the hospital and emergency rooms. I was extremely impressed by Dr. Hoehn's presence at the orientation and selected him to perform my operation and he didn't let me down. All staff members I have come into contact with prior to my surgery and since have been absolutely wonderful! In the seven months after my gastric bypass surgery I have lost 102 pounds. It is a beautiful thing! I can walk in large stores without feeling like I am knocking on heaven's door, I can take a shower without severe back pain, and most importantly I have life.

Thanks to Dr. Hoehn and his amazing staff, this process has been an incredible experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Hoehn and the Shawnee Bariatric Center to anyone nearby or to those that would like to travel so you can get the best surgery and care. Heartland Surgical and Speciality Center was fantastic as well!

In my opinion, Dr. Hoehn is an amazing surgeon. I had absolute confidence in his ability and experience. Based on my research and meetings with him, I felt like I would be getting an excellent surgery that would provide me with a great tool to lose weight. Dr. Hoehn is without a doubt the person I would recommend to anyone who wanted to have baratric surgery. One caveat to those considering Dr. Hoehn...he is a surgeon. He is not a psychologist, nutritionist, life coach, support group member, or primary care physician. He will not hold your hand or be heavily involved in your follow-up care. His expertise is in performing weight loss surgery and in that respect, he is the best. With that said, his practice does an amazing job of providing the people to fill in the gaps. Meetings with a psychologist and nutritionist are required, the follow-up care is great (although not provided by Dr. Hoehn) and support groups meet monthly. It may be best said that Dr. Hoehn is a critical part of a great team. If I had to do this over again, I would choose Dr. Hoehn every time.

I literaly owe my life to Dr. Hoehn! I went from barely able to move, to finally living life. I had no idea how sick and unhealthy I was until I finally started feeling good. I am now very active and a more positive person. Dr. Hoehn has the most incredible ability to make you feel like you are a valuable person and you want to succeed to make him proud. all of his office and medical staff are great too....especially Dr. Tim. He has the same bedside manner as Dr. Hoehn. Thank you!
Dr. Hoehn appeared to be very nice and kind. There a was such a gap between my first visit and my pre-op visit last week that I expected a little more time with him. He appeared tired as so was I so I did not get too much covered before the big day. However, I feel confident that I am not even nervous.
