Stanley Hoehn Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I am currently a patient of Dr. S. Hoehn, and he is preforming the VSG on me on 3/2/17. Thus far, he has proven to me that he is caring, he knows what he is talking about (just look at his years of experience), and his team is the best I have come across. I have had co-workers and friends go to him, and I truly see why everyone I know has referred him and his team to me. These guys are truly the best and top notch Bariatric Surgeons in our area. As far as Dr. Hoehn himself, I have never in my life had a Doctor, Surgeon, Person in the Medical field be a heartfelt and concerned for his patients. During my 2 week Pre-op appointment, I was shaking like a leaf, not just because of the pending surgery, but because I had so much on my plate outside of this. He was so concerned that he wanted to know what was going on. After giving him the very short and sweet story, he gave me a hug, told me that everything will be fine now, and that he is going to take care of me during surgery. I can't tell you just how much that meant to me...it blew me out of the water and beyond. Because of this amazing person and his team, I will be referring anyone and everyone to them. Dr. Stanley Hoehn is the epitome of excellence in medicine and of caring for his patients!

Great experience with Dr. Hoehn and with the facility and staff of KC Bariatric Center Prairie Star. They took great care of us and were willing to take whatever time was needed to answer all our questions. And even when I stumped someone, they found the answer and got back to us. Great care. Recommend Dr. Hoehn and the staff to anyone looking at this procedure.

Dr. Hoehn did a wonderful RNY on me in July 2009! I have had no complications and the experience was very positive. This was the best decision of my life and Dr. Hoehn did an amazing job! I have maintained a 115lb weight loss :) (My highest was 255lbs and my current is 140lbs)

Doctor Hoehn is an interesting guy. He is super firm and very intimidating in the seminars but then you get to be one on one with him and he's the biggest sweetie. I told him I was super nervous about the surgery and he just reached out and gave me a big ole hug! (I'm a hugger, so I was fine with that.) The surgery itself was quick and pretty flawless - my site stitches look great and the swelling is less than I expected for sure. I would totally recommend him as a surgeon.

That being said, his support staff are hit and miss. They are very through but don't often give off "I care" vibes. The NUT was very unhelpful in my opinion, the psych doc pissed me off, and the first nurse to get me ready for surgery was a monster at first. But the receptionists are great, the case managers are efficient, and the other nurses were amazing.

The facility itself is gorgeous and the private rooms are awe-inspiring. SOOO nice. The bed was a hospital bed, so nothing to write home about, but I missed it when I got home and realized my bed wouldn't adjust and I wanted to sit up!

A+ !!! Dr. Hoehn is very skilled and his med and office staff are top-notch. They are a bariatric center of excellence. Wonderful new, comfortable facilities (those to came to visit me remarked on how nice the room was!) Highly, highly recommended. I had to sign a paper promising to come in for aftercare - KC Bariatric takes it VERY SERIOUSLY.

My stay at the hospital was wonderful- more like a vacation than anything. Dr. Hoehn and his team took great care of me- he did a wonderful job with the surgery. I haven't had any complications, and sometimes I wonder if he actually did the surgery!!

I had a roux-en-y with Dr.Stanley Hoehn 8/2005 and felt secure and confident in his training and details to inform his patients before and after surgery. His practice is the whole nine yards with professionals there to help and educate us. He is not like many clinics I have heard about that takes your money, does surgery and then forgets you. You will not get a better safer surgeon anywhere. Tim, his P.A. is also a great doctor and an asset to this great practice. Rate 100%, A+, Big Happy Face!
They are both kind, compassionate and risks aren't an issue with this group of doctors. Yes I am and will use them again.

I love this doctor! He is kind and confident, professional and does great work! Love his PA Tim as well....actually his whole staff has been very helpful and professional. I went to him with a lapband not properly placed by an out of state dr....he removed the lapband, removed my gall bladder (I did not have pain either time-sure had bad pain with the other doc). He will be doing my gastric sleeve this Friday and I am confident he will do a wonderful job!!

Dr. Hoehn is the head of KC Bariatrics, which is a Bariatric center of excellence. The staff has been helpful, scheduling has been easy, and follow up with my questions has been good.
