Dr. Sowemimo was very informative and thorough through the whole process. He gave me all the information that I need to make the decision that was right for me. Right after the surgery he was kind and checked in and let me know that if there were any questions or concerns to let him know immediatly. I just went for my 18 month appointment and every time I walk in this office they make me feel so important. I cant explain in words how Dr Sowemino and his office have changed my life and my family's life. Things seem so much brighter and in control. I wish all the doctors I have seen throughout my journey had the bedside manner, concern, and experience Dr. Seun has. Thank you so much for everything.

I have known Dr. Seun for the past year and a half. I had a lap band proceedure at NYU on March 1, 2010. As a result of that surgery I encountered several problems. Dr. Seun was always there to make the necessary adjustments. He even met me on a Sunday evening after I was unable to hold anything down as a result of flying.

When he realized that the lap band was causing many issues he suggested that I have it removed and have a bariatric procedure called the sleeve. He did this procedure on November 12, 2012. As he was doing the procedure he also corrected issues that were caused by the band. His bedside manner and positive, reassuring attitude has made my experience one that alleviated any fears that I had.

I have recommended him to several people who will be using his services in the future. I will continue to recommend him to anyone who thinks that they may be interested in bariatric treatment.

Dr. Seun is a caring and understanding doctor. During my time with Dr. Seun he has been very supportive with my weight loss journey and my goals. From my initial visit he has been very open and straight forward about my goals. Whether they are ideal/obtainable and if they are not. He is a personable man with a great sense of humor and I actually enjoy going to the office for visit, even if it is for a weigh-in! Dr. Seun's office staff are very well organized and always address any questions and concerns that I have. They accomodate my schedule very well and I always get the appointments that I need in a timely fashion.
Before my surgery Dr. Seun presented me with all the information I needed. What tests I needed and when, how I would feel after surgery, time in the hospital, recovery time and I he made me feel comfortable that he would be available if I needed him, which he was.
I would recommend Dr. Seun Sowemimo to anyone who is considering weight loss surgery. It is not a surgery that you just up and decide to have. It is a serious commitment and Dr. Sowmemimo and his staff are there to support you and help you take it one step at a time.

Dr. Sean was highly recommended to me by my primary care physician. I first met with him in July 2011 and began working on my weight loss journey right away. With the help of his amazing office staff I was off to a great start. I met with Julie (the nutritionist in the office) and began to watch my diet and lose weight to prepare for my surgery. Dr. Seun has an amazing personality and bedside manner and explained all the different procedures and risks thoroughly. With him, I decided the gastric bypass was the best choice for me and I had the surgery on 11/14/11. As of today, exactly one year to date I have lost a total of 122 lbs. I went from a size 24 to a 10!! The surgery went extremely well and the recovery period was a lot better than I had ever expected. This is a very big life style change that I never thought I could make but Dr. Seun and his very supportive staff makes all the difference. They really care. Prior to the surgery there were classes to attend that were very informative. I learned a lot and felt fully prepared for the surgery. After surgery they offer monthly support groups for all to attend. I am currently 48 years old and have never been happier. I feel great, I have much more energy and I feel like I am living in a body I have only ever dreamt of. I can actually walk 3 miles in an hour now. Thank you Dr. Sowimemo!

Dr. Sowemimo is wonderful! From my first visit with him i felt very comfortable as his patient and knew i was in good hands. I felt confident at that time that i had picked the best surgeon to perform my gastric sleeve procedure. His bedside manner was very friendly, personal and caring and that put me at ease both before and after my surgery. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking about undergoing bariatric surgery. His office staff are excellent , very helpful and caring to all patients, along with a very good balance of professionalism and efficiency. Dr. Seun performed my surgery in October 2010. He sent me to classes before the surgery to learn how to eat post surgery. They were very heplful. I think I was one of his most diffucult patients. Lets face it, I had surgery and things can happen. After all I went through I must say there are always risks. If I had to I would do it all over again. Dr. Seun was so attentive to me and all my needs. He was there everyday at least once a day. I had great nurses and have had great success since my surgery. Two years after my surgery and I am very satisfied with the outcome.

I am very satisfied with Dr. Sowemimo. At my heaviest I was 331 lbs.10 months after surgery I am 242 lbs and I feel great! AT the initial consultation he offered me choices as to what He thought might be best for my needs and he accepted my input. The entire procedure was layed out and easy for me to follow. After the surgery My follow up appointments and group discussions have all helped me to "stay on track" and continue my weight loss. I have recommended him to several of my co workers and they all have had excellent results! Thank You Dr. Sowemimo!

I visited Dr. Seun 2 times over the course of a year before deciding to have gastric sleeve weight loss surgery. At each meeting he was so kind and informative. He really took the time to answer all of my questions and I had a lot of questions! Once I decided to proceed, I knew I was in the "best hands" with Dr. Seun and I mean that literally. Dr. Seun is so down to earth yet he exudes a confidence that makes you feel everything will be okay.

I am one week post-op, feeling pretty good and most importantly, no commplications. I would highly recommend Dr. Seun if you are considering weight loss surgery. He is awesome. Dr. Seun gave me a new lease on life and I am looking forward to my journey to a new life. Ultimately, I went through with this surgery because of Dr. Seun. If I didn't feel 100% confident in my surgeon I would have never proceeded. I will always be grateful to Dr. Seun. And, I'll never forget how he pinched my cheek (as to say it's going to be okay) before I was wheeled into the operating room. It may have been a simple gesture, one I doubt many big surgeons like Dr. Seun would do but it made me feel so at ease.

Additionally, I'd like to add that his staff is wonderful too. The personalized service provided at his office is outstanding.
