My first impression of Dr. Marymor was that he was very professional. He was to the point and direct. I experienced another side to him post-op. Although he still maintained his professionalism, I was pleasantly surprised when he gave me, as well as his other patients, his personal cell number to contact him if we needed to do so. I was even more surprised that when I did call him and on a weekend, he answered! Now that's personal service.
The staff at Barix Clinic, Langhorne is stellar. They are sensitive to your needs, thorough, and funny. The support groups are regularly scheduled and provide tremendous information. I would rate Dr. Marymor and the Barix staff as excellent

ALL OF THIS IS A SCARY AND NERVOUS EVENT. BUT DR. MARYMOR MADE IT EVEN MORE SCARY FOR ME. HE SEEMED COLD. DISTANT. TIRED. BUT EVENTUALLY, AS I CONTINUED TO SPEAK WITH HIM, HE BECAME WARM, CLOSER, AND ENERGETIC. HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING AND LEFT ROOM FOR ME TO ASK QUESTIONS. I BEGAN TO BECOME A LITTLE MORE CONFORTABLE AFTER THAT. THE OFFICE WAS BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, WELL LIT. THE STAFF WAS AWESOME. THEY WERE SO NICE. THEY ACTUALLY SAT AND SPOKE WITH YOU, EXPLAINED THE STEPS AND WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT. THEY WERE GREAT TO TALK WITH. THEY ALL STRESS SUPPORT GROUPS AND HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE. THAT IS WHY I FOUND THIS SITE. TO AT LEAST START AND GET A HEADS UP ON WHAT TO EXPECT. IT HELPS. I KNOW EVERYONE IS NOT THE SAME, BUT AT LEAST YOU CAN PRAY FOR THE BEST AND EXPECT THE WORST. WELL, MENTALLY I BELIEVE I AM PREPARED. THE RISKS OF THE SURGERY WAS DEFINETELY ON TOP OF MY LIST OF QUESTIONS. HE ANSWERED EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW. NOW I CAN GO INTO SURGERY COMFORTABLY KNOWING THAT I AM IN GOOD HANDS. AND THANKS TO ALL OF THOSE THAT HAVE HAD SURGERY DONE BY DR. MARYMOR, YOUR TESTIMONIES HAVE HELPED BIG TIME. THEY EASED MY HUSBAND'S MIND TOO.

Dr. Marymor is just as everyone says! Not big on smiling or trying to make his patients feel comfortable by offering a lot of fluffy words of assurance.. BUT.. He is the man for the job! I know that not because of my surgical experience with him (he came a couple of times each day to check on me and ask how I felt and addressed any and all questions/issues/concerns or requests I had) but because of the nurses there that explained to us the man that is Dr. Marymor (and this came from a Nurse that didn't seem crazy about him on a personal level). He REALLY, REALLY cares about doing the VERY BEST for his patients. I rate Dr. Marymor the best of the best grade in Surgical Competence. He let's you know the risk from the start. No fluff. You can 't really do better then him...unless you need somoene that will smile alot and pat your hand..

My first impression of Dr. Marymor was that he was very professional. He stated facts about the surgery in a very straight forward manner and he didn't make too much small talk. Over time, though, I found him to be a very caring person. He is genuinly concerned about each of his patients. He takes time to explain the procedure to the patient at both the PAT visit, as well as right before the surgery and he answers any questions in detail. He explains aftercare to each patient and even puts his cell phone number on his patients discharge instructions. I would certainly recommend him to anyone considering Gastric Bypass Surgery. He rates an A+ in my book!

Liked him immediately. The office staff at Barix Clincs is wonderful. As for aftercare, he gives you his direct cell-phone number so you can call him with ANY questions or concerns you may have... and yes, he does return your call very quickly!! Aftercare: Barix Clinics has excellent nutritionists on staff, as well as nurses, etc. They are only a phone call away. Every question is answered, no matter how small or how stupid you may think it is. You have your scheduled follow-up appointments and then once a year after them, unless you have a problem, then of course, you would call them so they can see you, if needed. They have pre-op support group meetings and post-op support group meetings every month. You can attend both if one meeting a month doesn't seem to be enough for you. All the risks of surgery are laid out for you. There are no surprises. I think Dr. Marymor is extremely talented and very professional, as well as having a great bedside manner. I would recommend Dr. Marymor and/or Barix Clinics to anyone.

My first impression of Dr Marymor was good. He is very down to earth, explains everything in detail risks, complications, diet, and takes his time with you answering any and all questions you may have. AWSOME bedside mannor! His office staff, unbelieveable. There was no one walking around that was a size 2 and thought they were better than you They were there to help and There are many staff members there that have had this surgery done. The best part of the consult is talking one on one with someone that was in my shoes It was like looking in the mirror, She HAD all the same medical problems as I have now.I feel Barix clinic is right for me! I went through a bunch of crap with my preadmission testing
The Nurse there was wouunderful her name is PAT K. She worked with me to get me through the massive bump in the road, She always called me back, ALL I can say is she is awsome!!

Very relaxed and didn't rush our consultation. Answered most if not all questions before we even had a chance to ask. The staff was very friendly and accomadating.

After care was emphasized by the patient counselor. Someone who has had the surgery at the Batrix clinic 2 years ago. They do have a program, but I live 31/2 hours away so I'll be looking for local care and possibly starting my own support group.

I want to say that Mary H. in the Insurance Dept., has been WONDERFUL to me and patient and very kind with my NUMEROUS phone calls. Thank you so much Mary

My first consult was in January of 04 and the second was in February of 05. I chickened out after the first one. When I went for the second consult, Dr. Marymor did not make me feel stupid or silly for being afraid. He put at ease and went over everything about the surgery and aftercare in just as much detail as the year before. Since I was going to pay for this myself, things moved quickly. The staff in Langhorne and at the main office in Michigan did a great job coordinating everything and letting me know where to be and when. I had my surgery on April 1, 2005. Even though it has only been 23 days, I am so happy I went through with it and that was at the Barix Center. The care I recieved from Dr. Marymor, the pre-op testing staff and the nurses that had to put up with me afterwards was wonderful. I highly recomend the Dr. Marymor and The Barix Center.
