Muhammad Jawad Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

<p align="left">4/10/03 - I had my consultation with Dr. Jawad today. I agree with what everyone else has said, he is soft spoken and very polite, he did come out and speak to all of us as a group and did a Power Point presentation on his laptop, it was very informative and by the time I was called back for my one on one I had no more questions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

My first impression of Dr Jawad was he was soft spoken, confident in his talent. I had already done my home work & knew he was who I wanted to do my surgery. His office staff were all great!

Dr. Jawad is a very detailed man. When I went for my pre-op appointment he explained exactly what he would be doing during the surgery. He made sure I understood the procedure and made it clear that I would have to make this work - that it was not a miracle tool. He addressed all the risks of the surgery and also explained how many of his patients had experience the complications he discussed. I think there was only 1 patient that had to have the band removed and one had an erosion. Not bad considering how many he had done. I had so much faith in him.

I think Dr. Jawad is an extremely skilled surgeon and know I would never have had anyone else do this type of surgery. He's awesome!! His staff is also great. No matter how many times I used to call them, they were never irritated with me. They rock!!

Dr. Jawad is a wonderful and excellent doctor. Before he speaks your impression of him is a busy and straight to the point type of man. That's very true. He doesn't have time for chatting, he makes sure all your questions are anwsered and makes you feel comfortable about the surgery. I would rate him as one of the best doctors ever. Dr. Jawad's office help are just as excellent. Thanks for everything Dr. Jawad and staff.

Dr. Jawad seemed to be a well reserved man. Apparently, he does VERY well at his job, which is a good thing since he's gonna be operating on me. LOL. I just met him today and my surgery is on 5/18. I do not care for his office staff though. They tend to be VERY rude and noncaring.

Dr. Jawad is a wonderful surgeon in my own experience as well as others I have talked to. Both the nurses I spoke to gave him glowing reviews. When asked about the other surgeon I was considering the both said I had chosen wisely in Dr. Jawad. I feel truly blessed to have found him and not to have put my life in a less skillful surgeon's hands. I owe him a debt of gratitude.

He was a great Doctor really sensitive to my needs.

My first impression is he is straight forward and matter of fact. I have only met him once but I have spoken with several of his patients and they all just love him. I truly believe his office staff works very hard, but when you are going thru things like this you want things to be done in a timely manner and I don't feel that is the case here. Not because they don't want too. But because the are soo bogged down and over worked. It was hard to get the feel of the staff since none of them spent and significant time talking to me prior too or after the initial consult. Also, when I was denied by my insurance it took his office 6 weeks before they notified me. If I hadn't have done my own follow up with Aetna I would have gone crazy. And it would have put me a month or so behind starting what needed to be done to meet their criteria. While I feel surgical competence is most important, I want to feel as thou my surgeon really does have my best interest and care at heart. With him being so busy I believe that his office staff works as his ambassadors and they could try to be more friendly, accomodating and helpful.
Well during my 2nd bout with Insurance I worked with a new gal at Jawa'ds office...her name is Necia. Necia listened when I talked and seemed to really understand and care about the concerns I had. She has been great and worked with me in moving the insurance company along. There have been major changes in Jawad's office since I was there last year and it really does show. THANKS DR JAWAD...the staff has really changed over the last year...and for the better.

Dr. Jawad is an awsome doctor. I have never met or had a doctor that was so caring and concerned about the well fair of his patients. His office staff had always been terrific and helpful with any questions or concerns that I had. Dr. Jawad made sure that I understood the surgery itself and the risks that were associated with the surgery. He is very structered with his after care and he should be. If you are going to do something so major then you should be happy to follow the doctor's orders for after care.

My 1st meeting with Dr Jawad was in a group with about 10 others. He spoke in depth about the procedure, risks, etc., with a huge emphasis on after care and stressed the importance of taking our suppliments and getting in our protein. I felt as if this man genuinely cares about his patients. Unfortunately, that is a rare occurence in physicians these days. In my book he is the best!!! I feel I couldn't have chosen a better surgeon! The staff is great, I met atleast 2 women in the office that are also WL patients of Dr J. I would recommend anyone who is having this surgery to see Dr. Jawad. Most of his patients are from out of town, so you know from that, he must be worth the trip.
