He was really straight to the point, that I had to change my lifestyle for myself. And that he put me on a low fat low sugar diet for 3 months, which I lost 35 lbs from.rnThere is a great woman named Moira who always answered all of the questions and was very helpful even getting me an earlier surgery date, she called my insurnace on a Friday and by the next week I was scheduled for March 2, 2009. rnI had my surgery at Lenox HIll hospital and it was very good care. I was the first one at 830 am so I was happy.rnThe residents who assisted said I had good anatomy..lolrnALso they best thing was that I never had a history of having diabetes, high choloestrol, high blood pressure or any commonalities associated with being Morbidly Obese.rnWhich is the reason I wanted to get the surgery and really follow through.

My first impression of Dr. Roslin was a quick and to the point, No B.S. kind of surgeon. I also quickly saw his expertise in the various weight loss surgery options and his genuine concern that I make the best decision for a successful weight loss journey. I feel he genuinely cares for me as his patient and my health and well being. I absolutely love him and if given the chance, I'd probably give him a GIANT hug, for saving my life! I can't say this enough, but I could not have chosen a better surgeon. Dr. Roslin IS THE BEST. I would rate him a 10 out of 10. He is top of the line and will assess your needs as a patient and help you choose the surgery that is best for you; not just what will make him the easiest money, like some of the other surgeons out there. His bedside manner was great, though I wish he could have taken just a little more time with me after surgery so I could ask him a few more questions. That was my only very small issue. Other wise, everything has been excellent. The follow up care has also been fantastic. I have never had to wait very long while at the office for my appointment and their facilities are very nice and modern. I did, however, prefer their original office to the new office, which was moved to be closer to the hospital. It is still a great office and it's a bit more logical since Lenox Hill Hospital is on the next block. The other office was just a little more easily accessible via New York Transit.

My first impression Of Dr. Roslin was that he was very informative, and bluntly honest. I like how he explained the procedure to me. The staff at Dr. Roslin office was very nice. They greeted me upon my arrival and my departure.rnQuite frankly I don't have anything bad to say about Dr. Roslin. I've seen him once and about to see him on October 21st, 2008. He seem to know his stuff and that's really good.rnHe highly emphasizes aftercare. rnYes he has a structtured aftercare program.rnDr. Roslin was very honest with me and told me that, the surgery is very risky. I'm a high risk patient and i understand all of the risks of the procedure.rnI would rate Dr. Roslin with about a ten because he seem to have the experience and knowledge about the procedure.rnI haven't got a scheduled date as of today, so I would comment on that at a later time. Yes I have a date it's January 19th, 2009.

Back in 2004, I met Dr. Mitchell Roslin during my initial consultation at the Manhattan Minimally Invasive & Bariatric Surgery unit. Right away, I felt comfortable with Dr. Roslin because he made me feel at ease and was able to answer my questions with comfort. rnBecause of that, I have decided to put my life in the hands of Dr. Roslin and will be having my Gastric Sleeve on October 6th, 2008. rnrnAlthough I am still quiet nervous of the outcome, I am also eager to get my \"healthy\" lifestyle back. Since I've never had any sort surgery, I am a little afraid. I attended all the required weight-loss pre-surgical seminars, I was quite please and have made a decision that weight-loss surgery is right for me. I want to live a very fulfilling life and want to be healther for ME!! rnrnThe seminar was informative and I am totally ready to change my lifestyle and I can finally see a new future for me. Though after hearing Dr. Roslin discuss the various operation procedures, he helped me decide that the Sleeve Gastrectomy was the right choice for me. rnrn I will continue to keep you posted on my progress.

I'VE ONLY MET DR ROSLIN TWICE. ONCE FOR MY SEMINAR AND THEN AGAIN FOR MY CONSULTATION. IM GOING FOR MY FOLLOW UP VISIT AND TO SET THE DATE FOR MY SURGERY IN TWO WEEKS. SO FAR I LIKE DR ROSLIN. HE IS VERY IN YOUR FACE. TELLS YOU RIGHT OFF THE BAT, THIS IS HOW BIG YOU SHOULD BE, THIS IS HOW BIG YOU ARE, THIS WOULD BE THE BEST SURGERY FOR YOU AND YOU AND WOULD SEE THE BEST RESULTS. GET YOUR TESTS DONE AND SCHEDULE YOUR SURGERY DATE.

Dr Roslin is a smart, no BS kind of guy. If you are getting a DS and are in the Northeast, I would highly reccomend him. His staff is nice and he really really knows what he is doing. His aftercare with his DS patients is impeccable and I am thrilled with him as a surgeon. He is always ready to answer my questions, and he will respond to emails within an hour usually, which is great since I live 6 hours away!

So far Dr. Roslin was a really nice guy, he spent an unheard of amount of time with me in my consult, his office staff are all really sweet and helpful. Dr. Roslin was pretty blunt with me about the surgery not being a weight loss surgery but an eat less surgery. He told me the risks and everything I needed to know and he came VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by several people I know. I haven't had the surgery yet, but so far, so good! :)rnrnPost-oprnrnWell, Dr. Roslin and I really didn't get along on one big topic, pain and anxiety. He promised my mother during a 20 minute phone call that he would arrange for a shot of valium for me pre-op to keep me calm and he never did it. I know the other surgeons give you something in most of the hospitals and I was ready to switch surgeons but he promised me he would accommodate me. He never did, and not even a word about it. He showed me his pager to show me that he was never paged. Afterwards he didn't think I should be in pain worthy of a pain pump, despite the fact I was in a lot of pain, and came into the recovery room to lecture me on the benefits of using mind over matter instead of telling me how well the surgery went. I was barely coherent and I am getting lectured. He didn't want to give me the pain meds I needed because he didn't think I should need them, and compared my experience to the experience of him having his knee drilled into a week or two prior and how he didn't need the meds, and I was very upset about it. But apparently you need to have some level of toughness for this operation that I didn't have, and I was very unhappy about it. Admittedly I am a big baby and needed a lot of coddling, but I didn't feel a battle over pain management was appropriate. In the end his assistant, Dana, who was SUCH a sweetheart helped me out and got me what I needed. She also made it a point to post on this website during the discharge speech that if anyone is going to be using Dr. Roslin and they have any concerns regarding their hospital stay that they should contact Dana prior to arriving and that her number can be obtained by calling Dr. Roslin's number. Bottom line is that Dr. Roslin is a nice guy and a very skilled surgeon, but as far as bedside manner goes and compassion and respect for my own experience, I really didn't have a very good experience with that aspect at all. Someone who is less sensitive and a little tougher might have a completely different take on the same experience, but it was quite upsetting to me. I will still go to him for follow-up, so if you read this, Dr. R, don't be mad, it was what it was.rnrn2 year UPDATE:rnSince then Dr. Roslin has been really supportive with me as time went on. He is very willing to give me adjustments whenever I need one and always fits me in when I can make it in. I have also started seeing Dr. Shah. Overall my opinion has changed with the experience and would highly recommend :)

dr roslin is honest and intelligent. i've only seen him once, and for only a short time, but i am already impressed. we discussed all my complex issues, and he gave me his recommendations and rationale behind it. he was never condescending, and i felt comfortable asking him the few questions i did have. rnrnthe staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. the office is clean, bright and comfortable. the commute sucks. you can't have everything...rnrnat the hospital, dr roslin was wonderful. he calmed my fears and made me feel comfortable about what was about to happen. he introduced me to all the team members, and the last thing i remember before going to sleep was laughing with them. after surgery, he saw me being nauseous, and took care of it RIGHT AWAY. i absolutely adore dr roslin. he made this whole experience so much easier than i'd thought it could be. i give him a whole-hearted, unhestitating 10 out of 10!rnrn
