My first impression was very kind and very truthful about the facts. My impression has not changed. I spent several hours the first day in his office listening to incredible stories from exsisting patients. I know he has worked on serval celebrities in the media recently, and he is the chief of bariatric surgury at his hospital so I feel very confident with his credentials.
The thing I liked least is that he is Very busy and he didn't get to spend a lot of time with me. For after care he has a nutritionist. He also has group therapy classes.
I will keep you updated!!!
I was immediately impressed by Dr. Roslin. He was informative and thorough with his examination and his descriptions of the procedures he performs. Catherine, his assistant, does a great job organizing the surgery process for the patients. The doctor participates in/mediates a support group for pre and post-operative patients as well as patients who are in contemplation of surgery. This group provides information about their experiences and concerns in regard to surgery. I have complete confidence in Dr. Roslins surgical competence and I know I made the right choice
From the first time I met Dr. Roslin, I knew he was a doctor like there are few left. He cares and he has compassion!! He attends every support group and it is so obvious by all the people that attend the group that every single one of them who is a patient of his feels the same way. I thank God for putting Dr. Roslin in my path.
He was totally honest with me about the surgery risks but I had such confidence in him that I had absolutely no hesitation about putting my life in his hands.
Dr. Roslin offers a comprehensive program with nutritional care, support groups and visits to his office. \
I would not hesitate in recommending his to anyone.
I just met yesterday (7/25/02) with Dr. Roslin for the first time. While I had to wait awhile for him I didn't mind because his other patients were very nice to talk to. He was very nice and I was surprised that I was able to get a surgery date on my 1st visit. I completely forgot to ask him about aftercare and he never brought it up but he was also very swamped with patients. From what I have heard his monthly support groups are great and I am definitely going to go to the next one in August.
2/12/02-i am now seeing dr. mitchell roslin for follow ups.he is a great doctor highly recommended by my friend dorothy.
7/10/02-Dr. Roslin is one terrific wonderful doctor I am glad that I have found such a great compassionate caring doctor to take over my case. When I had my gastric bypass on Oct. 2000 I had different medical insurance and I had to go to a doctor in network therefore I used a different surgeon but now my medical insurance is different and I am so grateful that Dr. Roslin accepts it although with the PPO option I can now go in and out of network. On 6/17/02 Dr. Roslin repaired my 8 hernia's that I developed and also did my abdominoplasty which I must say looks great only 3 weeks out. I am grateful to Dr. Roslin. Anybody in the New York area comtemplating wls should think about using Dr. Roslin as their surgeon.Finding Dr. Roslin was a dream come true. I can honestly say he truly cares about each and everyone of his patients. Dr. Roslin acctually runs the monthly support group meetings at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC.He is one terrific doctor and had a wonderful personality and treats all his patients with dignity and repect.Dr. Roslin is the best.
I recommend Dr.Roslin to anyone who wants a great doctor in the New York City area.
I first saw Dr. Roslin at his Support Group held at Lenox Hill Hospital. He was wonderful and all of his patients had nothing but good things to say about him. When I met him at his Brooklyn office, Dr. Roslin was very informative and straight forward. I had 2 typed pages of questions and all were answered. I feel comfortable with him and having also seen him featured on television several times since I began researching WLS 8 months ago, only makes me more comfortable. He provided me with a large packet of papers describing the RNY and Lap Band, a schedule of Support Group meetings and a packet describing the diet after surgery.
When I first met Doctor Roslin, he seem like a straight forward person, that don't cut no shorts, I like that in him, he also showed me a short film on the surgery and explained all the procedures and risk involved. His Assistant Katheryn seem to be very helpful.my private doctor refered me to
Dr. Roslin whom also works out of
Lenox Hill Hospital.
I had my first consultation today. I enjoyed talking with the other patients in the waiting area. Almost all were very friendly and were willing to share alot of helpful information. Dr Roslin was very brief and to the point. The comforting factor for me, is that two of his former patients work on my job, therefore I have seen his work first hand. He comes highly recommended. He strongly reccomends attending the support group. I haven't gotten my surgery yet, so it's too early to rate.
