Marina Kurian Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

When I met Dr. Kurian I thought she was very friendly and personable...She puts you at ease and is very forthcoming with any information. She explained everything in detail to me and let me ask as many questions as I wanted...She is very knowledgeable on her work and was able to answer many things for me. She also gave me her email adress and phone number and told me to feel free to ask as many questions as I liked and email her anytime.

My impression of her is still the same I think she is very good, I still email her from time to time with questions and she gets back to me within a day or so.

Dr. Kurian staff is excellent! They get back to you and they are very friendly they took care of all my paperwork including getting test results from other doctors and keeping me posted on what is going on.

Dr. Kurian also emphasizes aftercare which is very important to your continued health. She has a lot of support group meetings which was highly recommended to me. Overall, I would recommended her she is very good at her job, her office staff is excellent and I will get back to you on the rest... Surgery is Oct 18...

My first impression of Dr. Kurian was that she was very layed back and comfortable with what she does. She was able to answer any questions I had about the surgery and then some. She is a very nice person and she made me feel comfortable right from the start. I wouldn't think twice about recommending her to friends or family. Her office staff are also very nice and helpful. I have called on numerous occasions or e-mailed them, and have always gotten a reply.

My first impression of Dr. Kurian was that she seemed personable and kind. She answered all my questions and explained the different types of surgery. Her staff was great and helpful. She told me if I had any questions that I could email which I did. She did respond which I was impressed. She does have a structured aftercare program and a support group. I do believe that Dr Kurian and her associate Dr. Roslin run it themselves. She explained all the risks involved. I will be going to the support group at Lenox Hospital on June 20th and let you know how it goes.

My surgeon Dr. Marina Kurian Is excellent!!! to the second power. She is very caring and deals with her patients one on one. She does not avoid her patients or push them off. Dr. Kurian made me feel very comfortable and at ease. She actually goes above and beyone the call of duty for her patients. I would recommend her to anyone. Her staff is on top of the game and does there job well. All in all Dr. Kurian and her staff make my surgery journey a smooth ride. Keep in mind everyones oppinion and feeling are different. Well all do not see eye to eye, but I just wanted to share my experience with you all.

Dr. Kurian is awesome! As a woman, she has a unique understanding of women's issues with the band. She is young and is a leading laparoscopic surgeon (read - not set in the old ways). She works well with patients and really cares about us. Read more in my journal. <br><br>

5/17/01 I met with Dr. Kurian today for a consultation about Lap-Band surgery. I attended a support group session that see and Dr. Mitchell Roslin held at Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Kurian and Dr. Roslin work as a team on the procedure. They are both very down to earth, patient with questions (I peppered the two of them with questions for nearly two hours last night!). the office staff is lovely. <br><br>

7/17/01 I can't say enought about Dr. Kurian and Dr. Roslin. They are some of the smartest, most caring people I know. They run a monthly support gorup themselves - not run by a staff member - both of them together, in a room, for two hours, each month! Unheard of. This is just one example of their commitment to their patients.

Met with Dr. Marina Kurian on November 1, 2001 she was great, very informative, answered all my questions. I was very encouraged by her (I thought I wouldn't be a candidate for surgery)!! Her office staff was very helpful (Almira). I would highly recommend her for anyone looking into having any WLS!! I have nothing negative to say, she was GREAT!!

Her office staff is very helpful adn precise in getting things done and fast as well. She is very involved with her patients as far as followups she wnats to help any way she can and she makes sure she sees you at least once a month post op. She did explain the risks of the different procedures and also her opinions of them as well. She is an exceptional surgeon and she has great mannorism and Competance.
