Margaret Inman Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I liked Dr. Inman and her no-nonsense attitude. She was very detailed in my consultation and She puts an emphasis on aftercare and she thinks this this is very important. She discussed risks and was very open and honest about them. I would have liked to have met with her alone but she had to be in surgery. I met with her PA and she was very nice but seemed to be rushing, she had lots of people to see. The office was very fat friendly, the chairs were awesome! :)

**Post-Op Update: DR. Inman was absolutely WONDERFUL through my whole surgery. I was very nervous and she was so caring and gentle. I had the best experience with her. She was great!

Dr. Inman was very knowledgable, and helpful.

I have had nothing but great experiences from her staff.

It's funny, but I loved her office. They had chairs that fat people could sit in without spilling over the arms.

I agree with many of the comments that others have made about Dr. Inman. I found her to be very self-assured ( a very good trait in a surgeon!) and knowledgable. I also like the comprehensive nature of her program. I met with Cami (sp?) the PA following the meeting for my interview and liked her. My overall impression is very favorable.

I thought Dr. Inman was very nice. She was professional, but also did a very good job of putting you at ease and explaining the surgery in detail so you would know just what you were getting yourself into. She also makes sure to tell you that she has very small hands so your incision will be small also.
My friend Kellee and I asked Dr. Inman if there was any way we could have the surgery on the same day. She said we would have to wait and see what happens. I talked to the person who schedules the surgerys, (Vickie)
and asked her if there was any way Kellee and I could have our surgery on the same day. She said since our Insurance companys approved us at different times then she couldn't do that. The next day she called Kellee and asked her if she would like to have the surgery the same day as mine!!! Bless her heart!!!Sooooo......October 24 and 25 we go for our blood work-up, physical and history and our 5 hour nutrition class. Then November 16 will be the BIG day......We are very excited and also scared. We both go to a support group twice a month, which helps alot.

I have only met w/Dr Inman at my consult. She (and her partner) were both highly recommended by my PCP. So far I can say she is very competent and gives realistic answers regarding the surgery, outcome, and potential risks. Her office is very efficent and also very busy. It took 3 months to get my consult 6-26 and surgery is tenatively scheduled for 11-19.

I would just like to say that Dr. Inman is an excellent doctor for this. I am glad that I chose her. She always made me feel at ease. Also the care that I recieved at St. Vincent's in Carmel, IN was excellent also. They all we so caring to my every need. I have no regrets of where I went.

Very knowledgeable and proficient so far.
There is a break down of communications between the pcp(primary care provider), the bariatric center, and Dr. Inman's office staff.
Since I am not scheduled for surgery till 10/10/01 I can't really evaluate the Bedside, surgical skills as yet.

06/05/01 - Dr. Inman breezed in and immediately got everyone's attention with statistics on the health risks of being obese. She then spent 90 minutes explaining what she does, why she does it, who she'll do it for (the whys and why-nots of that) and more information I could ever hope to remember. Fortunately, she included literature that includes the info. She and her staff can best be described as EFFICIENT. I did not feel rushed, but I was amazed at what was accomplished in such a short period of time. I'm very excited about her!
07/13/01 - I got my date today. November 7, 2001. I haven't spoken to Dr. Inman since the consultation, but have to say that her staff is TOPS! They have this down to a science, and so far everything for me has gone so smoothly, boom, boom, boom. Thanks to all the staff!

I was very impressed with her straight forward nature. I believe her to be a well capable surgeon. I am also gald that she does such a screening of patients, meaning she not all about $$. The staff is always very friendly, a little slow, but that may be due to impatience on my part. I want to begin my new life now!!

Dr. Inman is very thorough in her explanation of the whole surgical process and made me feel much better knowing that she is experienced in trauma and ready for any emergencies that may arise.
