Dr. Hobson did a great job. If you want a doctor who's going to hold your hand I woudn't go with this practice. I didn't meet him until after my surgery. I choose Peachtree Surgical and Bariactrics on the reputation of Dr. Titus Duncan and Dr. Larry Hobson. I was more interested in their work than meeting them which is good because you don't actually see either of them.rnThere office sucks. Expext to wait 2-3 hours for every appointment. I have now stopped going to see them.
Dr. Hobson is The Man! He was somewhat quiet, but a quick talker. He was kind of laid-back too. Confident and caring. My liver was big but he completed my surgery with no complications. I appreciate his bedside manner.rnrnrnrnrnrn
my first impression of my Dr.was he is very good looking and he cares very much.my impression have not change at all.the office staff was very helpful and sweet.he really talk to you to make sure you no what to do when you get home.he is the best and real good i would tell anyone to go see him.he will tell you of all the risks of the surgery.i would rate Dr.Hobson 100% the best.all the above or better surgical competence, bedside manner.
I have not met him yet just decided to go to the seminar in Sept. to start the process with Dr. Hopson's group.
Very friendly but, very busy. The nurse Lori is fantastic. The waiting time for surgery is quite long--I think they are just that busy.rnHe did a fine job on the surgery. I did have complications but, that can happen with any surgery (infections). My follow-ups are with the nurse not the surgeon. The only exception was with the open wound infection; I saw a resident and he was fine.
I met Dr Larry Hobson ... He was great lots of info and answered all my questions. I feel I have made the right chioce for a doctor. ..... I want to add that Dr Hobson akaTeddybear.. was absolutly awsome. he was the last face i saw when i was put under and was in to check on me soon after i was awake in my room. He did an excellent job and i am so happy he was my dr. if i had it to do over i wouldnt want anyone else tp take care of my operation. The staff had me up walking when i woke up and i needed very little pain meds. i would rate him a 200 on a scale of 1 - 100 he has a very friendly bedside manner and his concern is about you .. the office staff i want to add are helpful and friendly... you must understand its a busy office and sometimes it takes time t get answers.. but trust they will answer you.
It has been a joy to have had Dr.Hobson as my surgeon.He has been my angel in human form.I thank the LORD for him.May God contiue to bless and keep him.
After all the bumps in the road of life that I have had, I really did not think that it was the lords will for me to have my long awaited surgery. I had all but given up. I had to do all new tests again. When I finally got a date, I was and still am elated. It was like I had won the lottery. I found out that my surgeon would be Dr. Larry Hobson. I had to get an upper endoscopy done June 27, 2007. I had met Dr. Hobson the day before when I had to do the classes and consult along with my last preop and blood work. Dr Hobson was like a big teddy bear, I mean that is what came to mind when he walked into the room. He is a very gentle and caring soul. I have only had him do my endoscopy but I never felt like I was in any kind of danger. I was terrified of that test and he was the most understanding person to me. He made sure that I was \"asleep\" before he went forward with the procedure. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful surgeon to \"give me back my life\". I know it will be up to me to use my new tool and I will do everything in my power to do as I have been taught with the surgery because I NEVER want to come back to this point in my life anymore. I pray that GOD will bless my sweet surgeon and I know that his hands will be touched by Jesus. My surgery is in 10 days and I could not be more happier.....rnrnrnOK, I HAD MY SURGERY AND I HAVE TO ADD TO THE ABOVE PARAGRAPH, DR LARRY HOBSON IS WONDERFUL!! IF YOU GET A CHANCE TO PICK HIM FOR YOUR DOC PLEASE DO AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT A WONDERFUL AND CARING PERSON HE IS. HE IS SMART AND WITTY AND WILL CHECK ON YOU AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE DOING WELL. HE IS NOT LIKE MOST DOCS WHO RUN IN AND RUN OUT IN 30 SECONDS WITH NO EMOTIONS. HE IS TRULY A GIFT FROM GOD....I THANK HIM FOR SAVING MY LIFE.
My first impression of Dr. Larry Hobson was he looked like Brian Mcknight, he was very sweet and warm hearted and very knowledgeable about this surgery, he made me feel secure at the same time making sure I understood evreything about the Surgery. My impression stayed the same he was very matter fact and didn't jump around he was on point. the office staff was very warm and inviting on time about everything they made it all happen. big ups to them. kepted all my paper work togther ,they were very good. there is nothing I can say I liked least about Dr. Hobson he was great. HIs bed side manner is very warm he sat withme and explain everything to me checked on my quite a few times at the hospital and like a champ I was out of there .He was very informative about the after care and he understood that I lived a distance but wanted to make sure I stayed up to date with my after care with them in conjunction withmy primary .I would rate Dr. Hobson , Dr. Titus Duncan as high on the Top 100 list of Bariatric Surgeons they are great .... If I had to do it all over again they would be the only ones , I have suggested many people to them . I trust God First But I know God Has His total work in these men .They say whatthey mean and they mean what they say It is a tool they are assistingin you have to do the work in order for the miracle to happen you don't wake up after surgery feeling like oh wow Im skinny you go to sleep fat you wake up fat but with the opportunity of being able to change your life , and having no other option at that point. I was well aware of the risks and plusses but I took the risk and havent looked back yet.Surgical competence and bedside manner were both great . Thank You Dr. Larrry Hobson and Dr. Titus Duncan for assisting in saving my life, I Love you both you are amazing .....Cheron Turner I am almost at my year June 28th 2007 will be my year out and I have lost alot of weight . The first initial visit to Dr. Duncan I was 410lbs. I am now as of May 8th 2007 262lbs so its coming and i have a long wayto go but guess what I am feeling great looking great and doing wonderful Thanks . I can't weight to reach my goal and have Dr. Duncan do my plastic surgery .... One thing I do Want to say is this a lot of people are under the impression that Dr. Duncan is going to do their surgery actually it comes with the luckof teh draw. He is very busy and his waiting list is extremely long he will be around and know you are scheduled for surgery and will be there at the drop of a dime but you have to know that there is a possibility that Dr. larry will be there for your procedure andhe is just as great.
