I cannot be happier, more thrilled, ecstatic about Dr. Pilcher!! He is thorough, patient and sincerely concerned. I am completely comfortable putting my life in his hands.

He participates in the monthly support groups and emphasizes the importance of attending.

On a scale of 1-10 I would rate him a 10+!

I had my surgery 01-06-2000.
The best thing I ever did. I have lost 95 pounds
and I would do it again in an instant
Dr. Pilcher was wonderful, as well as the girls in his office.
I have recommended this procedure to my niece and she had the surgery in Illinois about 4 months ago.

Dr. Pilcher was extremly kind. However, my husband was very surprised with Dr. Pilcher's honesty and how straight forward he was. That's a Big plus, because my husband had alot of questions since both my daughter and I will be having the surgery. Dr. Pilcher explained both the good side of having this surgery as well as the risk involved with the surgery. Dr. Pilcher even took the time to ask my daughter questions and he wanted to know how she felt the surgery. His office staff are also very kind.
So far I have been very pleased with Dr. Pilcher and the entire staff.

Walking into Dr. Pilcher's office is very calming. The staff and support are very kind and treat you with a great amount of respect. After meeting with Dr. Pilcher I found him to be very personable and helpful. He talks to you in layman terms and when you leave his office after inital visit I was very comfortable with putting my life into his hands. He discussed risk factors and things he wanted me to accomplish before having the surgery. I have not attended his support group as of yet but have every intention on doing so. My next appointment is February 26.

Dr. Pilcher was wonderful. He was very informative and comforting. He told me if I had any questions after I left to just e-mail him and he would be glad to answer any questions. I am scheduled for January 22, 2001. I am looking forward to a new life.

Dr. Pilcher was wonderful. I have only had my first consultation with him, but I knew right away he was the surgeon for me. He made me feel like I had all the time in the world to ask him questions, even though it was past 5 o'clock when I left his office. He seems like he really cares about his patients....I'll tell you more after my surgery on Jan. 23, 2001.

Dr. Pilcher was absolutely wonderful. I would strongly recommend him to anyone in the San Antonio area seeking surgery. He is so sensitive and did an excellent job. His bedside manner is very kind and caring. He came by to see me at least once each day and told me how great I was doing. The hospital staff was also wonderful with the exception of the recovery room nurses. Dr. Pilcher's staff is very caring and helpful. You have to stay on them though or they will forget and let things slide. I think they are just terribly busy.

My first appointment with Dr. Pilcher was July 14, 2000. I had attended one of his support group meetings prior to my appointment, and I also had already done EXTENSIVE research on this type of surgery. Dr. Pilcher was very concerned that I was familiar with what this surgery incurred. He was easy to talk to and didn't mind me asking the same question twice. He addressed the risks of this surgery, and also stressed the importance of aftercare.
Will get back to you on his surgical skills and bedside manner.

9/27 Dr. Pilcher is an excellent surgeon. He is ready to listen to you and answer any questions that you wish to ask. He does not try to rush you along in your appointment.
His bedside manner is also excellent. He came by to see me every day that I was in the hospital.

Very friendly, I have never know a DOCTOR that comes out into the waiting room to call his next patient. The office staff is so friendly and have been very helpful in the approval process from my insurance company. I am sure that I will receive the best of care during and after the surgery. Everyone is wonderful and I am grateful this is not an easy thing to discuss with other.
