I love Dr. Pilcher...I gave up my spot to my husband because I got pregnant...unfortunately I had a miscarriage and told Dr. Pilcher about this and he was quick to help me get back on the list. My surgery and my husbands have both been approved we are just waiting on a surgery date and off we go. The staff at Dr. Pilchers office are nothing but pure professionals. The highest kudos to them, they work extremely hard at everything they do. There is an extensive interview and meeting with the care staff and everything is explained in detail, you have all the opportunities in the world to ask all the questions and voice and concerns or fears. You will not be disappointed at all with Dr.Pilcher or his staff.

I met Dr. John Pilcher...very impressed. All I can say is I LOVE HIM! He is the absolute BEST. I feel very safe in his hands! I don't think I could have found a Doctor I liked more. I have only had one other Doctor that I like as much and he was truly a wonderful physician as well.

The staff at the Bariatric Center was just as wonderful...they were professional and all were extremely personable! All have a great sense of humor. I have only had dealings with one person in his office that I was not impressed with and thank goodness I don't have to deal with her during the surgery or aftercare since she's just a receptionist.

Aftercare was explained in great detail by the Dr., Nutritionist and the Psychologist.

Dr. Pilcher was very open and detailed concerning the risks of this surgery, which, actually made me feel better instead of worse.

Since I feel competence and bedside manner are just as important I am going to rate Dr. Pilcher at a 10+!

I absolutely love Dr Pilcher. He is a very quiet man who is very honest with me. He is almost shy. He always took time to answer my questions very honestly. He would make me admit my mistakes but would not put me down for them. He made me realize that I had to take control also. I would recommend him in a heart beat to anyone.

I feel Dr. Pilcher is a very compasionate person. Not just a doctor out for a buck.
He takes the time needed first before beginning any discussions with you to ask you your concerns and questions. He tells you the risks involved. He lets you know how serious of a surgery that this is. It should not be taken lightly. It is something that should be well though about and planned.
He and his office staff take you throughout a training i would like to put it to make sure you mentally, physically, emotionally, and just plain ready. If you have doubts, than do not. He is honest and up front about everything. His office staff made sure i was as comfortable as i could be. Ask me if i wanted water or snacks. He went through the steps of before, during, and aftercare surgery. I am his patient for life.
It is hard to find a good doctor these days,
but he has my vote. He just plain knows his stuff. If you are looking for a easy going nice got it going on doc-HE IS THE ONE.
SINCERELY, MARYA HOYT.

He is super! He is very understanding and compassionate. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns. His staff is like a fine tuned machine. They work wonderfully together and are very nice.
He was very real about the risks involved. I chose Dr Pilcher because the reports that I have hear were that he has the best bedside manner and is the best. His associates are also highly regarded in surgical competence, but from what I heard none compare to him and he surpasses them all when it comes to bedside manner.

Dr. Pilcher was the most honest and up front doctor I have ever dealt with, but also a man of compassion. It is has not changed.

His staff is very good and keep you informed on what your status is and what you need to know.

Dr. Pilcher is GREAT! I feel he is a very caring and very honest person. I truely feel he understands the being obesity is not a choice that we make but rather a medical condition that needs radical treatment. He and the other doctors were very up front about the risk of this surgrey and they have a wonderful seminar. The handouts about the before and after care of this surgery are very informative.
