Doc Huse is great! Everyone was so nice and happy to help. Nicole, his assistant was VERY knowledgable about getting insurance approval. When I had the consult with Doc Huse he made me feel VERY comfortable and READY for the surgery. All the anxiety and nervousness about the decision was taken away with his answers to my questions and also the down to earth way he described the surgery and life after. I just wish he was bit less serious. Although I did get a hint of a smile from him when I asked how soon hubby and I could have sex after surgery....he said...20 minutes as long as I felt like it!!!!!!!! OMG rnOKKKKKKKKK I found his sense of humor when I went for my 1 month check-up....I had a little string knot at the bottom of my incision and I said it was sore..he said \"no problem..I will take care of it...it will just unravel like a sweater\"!!!!!!!!! OMG lol

Dr. Huse is friendly, competent, and one of the most experienced Bariatric surgeons in Indiana. He cares about his patients and gives them the upmost care. I can speak first hand since he has been my surgeon in the past. I choose him over another surgeon because of his expertise in his field. You will not be disappointed. rn Dr. Huse did my revision on July 3, 2007. A excellant physician and good to work with. He was a amazed at my quick recovery. I can't say enough good things about hiim. He answered all my questions and concerns. I would recommend him without exception. If I need any type of abdominal surgery he would be my only choice.

I had Dr. Huse and Dr. Inman do surgery on me. I think they are 2 of the most important people in my life. Dr. Evanson is awsome also. Dr Huse did my surgery at first then I had a leak and Dr. Inman did the next one 2 days later. I was not a easy patient I was told.rn The care I got in the hospital from them was great. Still to this day if I have a problem no matter what time day or night or weekend or holiday I can call and get the answer I need. I am 3 months out and still having some small problems but nothing big.rn The office staff is excellant. Nicole and Fran are just awsome. Nicole makes me laugh and I will never forget her, I just wish I lived closer to her because I would love to hang out with her sometime. rn

I have switched to Dr.Huse instead of Dr. Gomez. My first instinct was that I wanted to have this surgery at St. Vincent's and once I found out I had a chance, I jumped on it. rnrnI had my consult with Dr.Huse and he is a very kind, gentle man that cares very much about his patients. I have met all my requirements and am now just waiting on approval through Medicaid.rnrnI had my surgery October 20th, 06. Dr.Huse is WONDERFUL!! His office staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking into having Gastric Bypass Surgery.

Dr Huse, is a very straight, forward man. His manners are wonderful, he is a small man with a big heart. His staff are wonderful, very friendlt, caring and just like their boss. He is honest and does not hold back any punches. I give this man and his staff a 12 on a scale of 1 -10! If any one has the chance to have him as your surgeron, grab him ! He saved my life and since surgery, I have had a couple of issue's but he has been there and made me better. I love this man. He is a god send.

The first time I met Dr. Huse was during a seminar at St. Vincent's Bariatric Center. His presentation was clear and precise. He fielded questions from the participants and answered them thoroughly and clearly. I was impressed with his grasp of the feelings and fears of the participants. Afterward, I stayed for a private consultation with him. I had prepared a list of questions and concerns together with my medical history. He answered my questions to my satisfaction, allayed my concerns and considered my medical history before advising an open RNY procedure. rnrnMy first impression was that of a competent surgeon who deals particularly well with details. I suspect he has a sense of humor, but is much too proper to show it at such an early stage in our relationship. rnrnI developed persistent nausea and vomiting during my fourth postop week. When I called the office for help, they referred me to another doctor for a gastroscopy. It was assumed I had a postop stricture which was not the case. I finally saw Dr. Huse for my first postop visit and by then I was so dehydrated he sent me directly to the hospital for admission. After 3 days of IV fluids and medications, x-rays, CAT scan, ultrasound, etc. I went home with Prilosec, Reglan and Phenergan. I was hoping for a definitive diagnosis, but Dr. Huse just said \"some patients develop nausea for no apparent reason.\" My confidence in him is a little shaken. He promised I would leave the hospital on solid food, but it didn't happen. rnrnHis office staff is fantastic. I can't say enough about how quickly and efficiently they handle all my problems and needs. rnrnIf I didn't trust Dr. Huse, I wouldn't have proceeded with the surgery. I still trust him, despite my setback, to take good care of me. I like doctors with good bedside manner, but when it comes to surgery, surgical competence takes priority and I believe Dr. Huse is one of the best.

My first impression of Dr Huse..caring, understanding of his patients and their needs. His class was extremely easy to understand. I knew as I sat there with my husband I could not be in better hands for this surgery. I am a polio survivor and was turned down by another physician, which was a blessing because that is how I came to Dr Huse. rnEveryone on staff I met was wonderful! I didn't feel odd or out of place. As for something I would like least about Dr Huse or his staff.. there is NOTHING! They are as I said Wonderful! Dr Huse is my angel..he gave me hope and a chance to get out of this wheelchair and take that walk with my husband of 2 years I had waited 50 years for. rn I am now waiting for insurance approval.rnI do not feel afraid ..that is the best thing of all. Thank you Dr Huse for giving me a better life. rnThis is just my personal view and experience..as for others each has their own mind and opinion. I can't nor do I in any way make any statements about what others experience or feel.

I went for my initial consultation with Dr. Huse. He is everything I had anticipated after reading the posts on this site. He was very businesslike. By the time he came to have the one-on-one with me I could not think of any questions. After I left of course I had plenty of questions. I guess I anticipated that he would go over my medical records more indepth than he did and then give me some educated guess if he anticipated the insurance company to approve or deny my surgery. When I did ask if he thought they would he said he was not familiar with my insurance and that they automatically appeal any insurance decision.
