My first impression of Dr. Foote was very impressive and he was the one that i want to do my surgery. The office staff was excellent. rnDr. Foote is encouraging during pre-op...and was very helpful to me for after surgery care. I was in a wheelchair before surgery and not able to walk on my own. Also, I was very dependent upon 2 kinds of insulin. Dr. Foote seen to it that I got aftercare by sending my to a rehab place for post surgery care and exercise. I was there for 3 weeks and after going home, I was able to have not one but two physical therapists to come to my home to help me learn how to move about my house after being a couch potato. Through all of that I am now active physically, and after losing 82 lbs. I no longer have to take insulin.rnOverall, I rate Dr. Foote 100%....if I had to do it again, I would....knowing how good and comptent Dr. Foote is.rnBoth surgical competence and bedside manner is very important, which Dr. Foote scored very high with me. He is great in following up with aftercare, as it has been one year since I had surgery and will be making my yearly visit to his office.

So far, so good. He is very nice and respectful. He actually said that I was one of the lighter people that he has seen.

Met Dr. Foote at my orientation this week. He is one of 3 surgeons who do the surgerys, so I may or may not have him. He seems to be very p ersonable, funny, and willing to help you with what is best for you.

I've met with Dr. Foote once for the initial consult. He seems like an excellent surgeon. He spent a lot of time with me answering my question, clearly cares that I'm well informed and am comfortable. I trust him.

rnrnI liked my surgeon.. very relaxed and made me feel at ease before and after the proceedure.rnrnI do wish that Dr Foote would have stopped by my room a little more to see how I was doing. Don't get me wrong, I was \"weighted\" on be the staff plenty. Sometimes it's nice to see the man responsible for this life changing event.rnrnI wasn't able to form a bond with Dr Foote, the nursing staff was another story :)

I've only met Dr. Foote once, and I'm letting him cut me open on Friday!! He seemed to be a very, very knowledgeable doctor. I trust him for some reason, even though I've only spent about 10 minutes with him! I went into the whole thing planning on getting the lapband, and he suggested the VSG to me. He was very excited about this particular procedure, and felt it was a great option for me. He told me alllll about it, and said he just wanted to make sure I knew about every possible option available to me. I REALLY appreciated this, cause bariatric surgery can be overwhelming....as well as figuring out which procedure you want to have, and researching all the pros/cons and making sure you have a full understanding of what's about to happen to you. Dr. Foote is such a sweetheart and I have full faith that he will take care of me. The MWLS staff have been helpful. Some of the receptionists can have attitudes sometimes, but the nursing staff and PA's are great. The dietician I met with, the exercise physiologist, and the behaviorist were all AWESOME! Very, very nice and helpful. When I've called, my phone calls get returned quickly. I would recommend MWLS to anyone, particularly Dr. Foote, although Dr. Baker did my orientation and he seemed very confident and knowledgeable as well.

Dr Foote is confident but not cocky. He seems somewhat reserved but not so much that he would appear cold. I sensed that it really matters to him that he be the best he can be at what he does. Some of the seemingly younger office staff could stand to be a little more personable but then never were rude, just... self absorbed. rnrnConcerning aftercare... this is where I found that MMPC fell short of my expectations. I live in an area where there are no support groups. I have several co-workers who have had surgery at MMPC as well and in response to a mailing they sent us, asking if anyone wanted to become a support group leader, we sent them an email letting them know that we were in need of a group and willing to start our own. We did not receive a reply until we sent a second email. They let us know that they had become part of the American Bariatric Society and wanted to abide by the society's rule that requires surgery support group leaders to be employed in the health industry. It left us out in the cold... this frustrated all of us. The closest group is over an hour away and we work in an financial institute with late hours so the drive time was impossible. rnrnIt was disappointing to ask for help and training to start our own support group only to be left high and dry. Surgery is only the first step in fighting this battle. When the things get tough, you need support from others who have dealt with the same struggles. At this point, I have 6 friends and aquaintances who have had the surgery and one more about to be scheduled... there's a group! We do try to support one another but not as a formal group. It would have been great to received some guidance in this area. I hope something will work out for our area soon... the group support is vital!rnrnThe group did an effective job in detailing all the potential complications. I had a stricture that required ballooning which was perfectly performed and I've been great since. rnrnI appreciate the confidence that Dr. Foote displays... it helps with the typical surgical jitters that most patients probably experience. I think he is an excellent surgeon and refer other patients to him with confidence.

Dr Foote was a wonderful surgeon who did my RNY on the 24th of November, and I was home walking around on the 25th. I had no post op complications and very little pain. My biggest problem was car sickness, which they told me about. rnrnI would recommend Dr. Foote to anyone who is in need of a surgeon.

Dr. Foote was awesome since day 1 of meeting him.rnThe staff is knowledgable and ready and willing to help with anything you need.rnrnI would rate Dr. Foote and the staff at MMPC with a 20+ on a scale of 1-10, I seriously have heard horror stories with many surgeons in the area and I can tell you none of them with about this doctor or his staff. rnrnI currently to date have referred 15 people to him with all but 3 having already had the surgery.
