I met with Dr. B. for the first visit and was pretty impressed. He explained everything to us in a classroom setting. He was very patient with our questions and answered them appropriately. His office staff have all been very nice and helpful. I go for my pre-op appointment on April 27th so we'll see what happens after that.
This man is wonderful! Very caring and willing to listen to even the craziest questions (he even tries to answer them). I have met him and his staff once, and they are great.
I am 10 months post-op and have never felt better in my life. God was good to me when he guided me to Dr. B. I just love him and his staff. They were so wonderful to help me get everything going for my surgery. I had been trying for 2 years to get my surgery done in Arkansas with no luck. Finally, i gave up and started searching the net. Within 15 minutes i found Dr B's website and haven't looked back since. I was approved 7 days after my first meeting with him, and my surgery was a breeze. I have not been sick one day since leaving the hospital.
I would recommend him to EVERYONE. The only thing negative i can say about my experience is that i don't think enough information is given about post-op foods. But, they were helpful every time i called them.
I thought that he was sooo young.
After my interview with him, I knew that I had made the right decision to see him. He was very straight forward and he took the time to answer all of our questions.
He had a no nonsence approach to surgery. He was open and sincere, he explain the positive to the surgery as well as to negatives.
His office staff is the greatest. Before I met them at the office they were very nice. They have been the greatest in assisting me in obtaining the info that I needed. At one time I had given them the wrong insurance information, they handled the situation in a very professional and courteous manner, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give them a 50.
I will tell other patients to be prepared, he is all business, his manner is a little dry, but very professional.
I was very impressed as to how he stressed aftercare. I am also very impressed as to how he maintains contact with you well after your surgery and he remains in contact with your primary care physician.
He emphasizes walking and maintaing your diet.
Yes he did address the risks of surgery, he was very open and the hand out information that he provided is very concise and informative.
I am very please that I have chosen Dr. Babineau as my surgeron.
Having worked in the health profession at one time and now as being a patient, surgical competence is better, because I know that he will expect nothing but the best from his staff and the hospital staff, that will more than make up for his bedside manner.
Dr. Babineau is great. I have nothing but good things to say about him. I got alot of information from his consulation and when I got to talk to him one on one, he was very nice and honest. I was referred to him by my cousin who is like my sister. She really liked him from the start. So I had total confidence I would like him. I love his staff too. They are great. I would refer anyone to him.
I was very impressed with Dr. Babineau as well as his and Freda's information meeting before my individual appointment. Everyone has been great to deal with in person and by phone.
I had Gastric Stapling w/Silastic Ring done in 1999 by a physician in Plano, TX. That was a big flop and left me vomiting for many years before I felt comfortable about another surgery.
I am so happy I had the RNY done and Dr. Babineau did a beautiful job. Even after only two weeks, my scar is barely visible.
I plan to attend the Tyler,TX support group to meet with other pre- and post-op patients to learn more tricks and share some that I have used.
I give Dr. Babineau and staff 5 stars for excellence. Dr. B is extremely knowledgeable and his bedside manner is professional, but friendly. I think he is GREAT!
I highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in the RNY.
Dr. Babineau is the most down to earth doctor I've ever met. He is very personable and truly cares about his patients.
His office staff are tops! Its a wonderful experience from the moment you open the office door until you leave. They listen to your questions, concerns and make you feel like you are the only one going through this. AND you feel that you are not going through it alone.
For any future patients or those thinking about his procedure, please know that the moment you meet Dr. B. you feel that you are in good hands and that he will go that extra mile to make you comfortable.
I am still pre-op so aftercare is something I've not come across but he has explained how my life will be after the surgery. Immediately after the surgery he explained that he will be giving me medication to keep me as comfortable as possible.
In the group meeting, he spends over an hour talking to you about the surgery. The risks, the benefits, he explains the procedures both open and lap and tells you what to expect. He DOES NOT sugar coat it and tell you this will be a piece of cake. He gives you a "real" idea of what you will be going through.'
Of the two, surgical competence or bedside manner, which would I prefer? Obviously surgical competence and Dr. B. has that. I've yet to see his bedside manner but as far as his office manner, he is very professional but "human" at the same time. The cowboy boots and scrubs are a big plus! :-)
Dr. B. is a very skilled doctor. I'm trusting him with my life, he has to be.
I was totally impressed with Dr.Babineau, initially I thought he is so young.
After he started talking, his youth was not an issue,he's so full of knowledge.
He encourages you to read and learn all you can about the surgery.
If you need any additional information he can certainly answer all your questions.
He has great bedside manners and seems geniunely concerned about his patients.
His office staff is certainly an assest to His practice.
