When I first met Dr. Babineau, I liked him instantly. His footware was a hoot!:) When we had our one-on-one, he was able to answer any question I had and wasn't wishy-washy (very straightforward and knowledgable). His staff was very professional and made me feel at ease. They took the insurance info and walked me through each step of the process. The entire staff knew their stuff when it comes to surgery and insurance! My surgey date is Aug.16. He was very informative about exactly what would be done during the surgery and what the recovery would be like. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking to have the surgery!!!!
My first impression of Dr.B was excellent. He really made me feel comfortable. The office staff is excellent especially Frieda shes always there to help with a problem or question or to encourage. This is a doctor that i would reccomend to anyone. He was very honest about the pros and cons of the surgery and did not hesitate to let you know that something could go wrong. On a scale of one to ten and ten being the best he would defineitly get a ten.
Dr. Babineau is a serious person. He wants you to know the facts. He is very informative in his initial visit. I have my pre-op visit in about two weeks. I will be glad to share more about him and my feelings of him as I get to know him better. His staff is very helpful and supportive. They are pleasant when you call or when in the office. You can ask Frieda anything - it is very comfortable to talk with her. I haven't found anything so far that I don't like about Dr. Babineau or his staff. However, these are my own impressions and my first impression. Each person will need to meet the doctor and staff to do what is comfortable for each of them individually. I will learn more about aftercare as I proceed through this. I have read his info on his web page and now have a pretty good idea what to expect. He has a support group that meets once a month in Tyler and I will want to attend these for the support and to have my questions and concerns taken care of. Dr. Babineau was straight forward about all the risks and possible things that could occur. I would rate him a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 in knowledge. On a personable standard - probably about an 8. But again, I've only met him once. I want both the surgical competence and the bedside manner. But if you have to pick only one - then I want my surgeon to be the most competent and knowledgeable person.
My first impression of Dr Babineau was great, he was very informative and ver pleasant to work with on my WLS scheduling. His staf is the BEST, very nice from the moment they answered the phone when i made my appointment to see Dr. Babineau for the first time. they are absolutley great! i liked the idea of having everyone meet in one room, therefore if a question is asked that another hadnt thought of then they are enlightened with the answer..Havent had surgery yet but waiting til august
My first impression of Dr. Babineau was that he looks so young. I wasn't sure how I felt about that until he started explaining EVERYTHING about this surgery. He was so thorough, I couldn't think of a single question to ask! He went over every little detail and gave a manual, as well, on what to do before and after surgery. He gave a list of foods, and possible complications due to the surgery. He didn't sugar coat anything, but told it like it is, so we could make an informed decision. I think the best thing about Dr. B is that he exudes confidence and intelligence. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate him a nine!
