My first impression was that he looked like a nice but young person. I saw that he was very knowledgable and caring of people's health issues from being overwieght. His staff was very nice and helpful. He was good to come by several times to see me. He is one that should not be judged by his youthful look. Thank you Dr. Babineau I am glad my friends and Daughter sent me to you.
To all who would like to know he is the best! As far as the aftercare goes I am only 3 weeks out so I have not yet been for my six weeks visit.
Dr. Babineau is a wonderful compassionate man with a heart to help treat the morbidly obese. I truly felt like a person and not a disease. His staff has always been there with me if I just needed to call and ask a quick question without hesititance. He fully stresses to eat protein first, drink water and exercise. The more walking and drinking water you do the more successful you will be
Dr. Babineau was so well informed on all questions asked of him. The thing I liked the most is he did not talk down to a person and make you feel fat and stupid like alot of doctors. He has a genuine quiet caring manner about him and takes the time to listen to all your fears and concerns. I really believe God has put me in the hands of the best and I am not at all scared. I know God will guide the hands of Dr. Babineau and I will do fine. His office staff is on the ball and all so nice. I saw him on Thursday 5/13/04 and by Tuesday 5/18/04 I was approved by my insurance. My insurance company does not approve the surgery unless medically needed. I can call the office and ask any question and they never get agravated, they just help. They all make me feel that I am important and that is something that us big folks do not feel very often is important. I rate all my experience so far with Dr. Babineau and his Staff A plus.
I first thought he looked to young to know what he would be doing and that could intern mean that he wouldn't be sensitive. Once I was able to talk to him one on one in his office I could tell both of those assumptions where completely untrue. His office staff are some of the most wonderful people. Extremely nice and wanting to help. I have nothing negative about the doctor to date. Make sure to ask a lot of questions, he will try to cover everything without you asking. Post op he does give everyone a packet that tells them what to eat when to eat and how much to eat. And it does state to exercise. He was very good at addressing the risks of surgery even up until I was wheeled into the er. I would rate him as one of the best at what he does. His surgical competence, and bedside manner are absolutely wonderful. Good luck to all and I hope this helped you a great deal. :-)
