Dr. Ihde is a wonderful surgeon, and a kind hearted person.

I HAD SEVERAL VISTS TO DR.IHDE AND ALL WERE VERY INFORMATIONAL AND PLEASANT.HE LISTEN TO ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS AND DOES NOT RUSH YOU OUT THE DOOR LIKE SOME OTHER DOCTORS DO,HE REALLY CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS AND IT SHOWS.HE HAS A BOOK THAT IS AWESOME THAT ALL PATIENTS HAVE TO READ AND TAKE A TEST ON,JUST TOO SEE THAT YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT AND WHAT HE EXPECTS FROM YOU.AND I HAVE PERSONALLY READ IT ABOUT 10 TIMES.IT WAS VERY HELPFULL AND I STLL GO REFER BACK TO IT ALOT.I GIVE HIM A 10 ++

I met Dr. Idhe through the support group I attend. I have seen how he deals with his patients from a distance and up close and personal when my friend Melissa became his patient. I have complete faith in Dr. Ihde for a safe and successful surgery. His office staff is wonderful as well. I have only been seen in his office once so far and they have gone above and beyond.

I can't say enough about Dr. Ihde's kindness, informativeness, and overall personality. He is very meticulous and I like that. He took his time and explained every little detail, and was surprised I think with what I knew. But at the same time I learned somethings that I didn't know before. I truly believe that God led me to this Man for a reason. Smile.

Well I've been approved and decided to go with Dr. Ihde, my Mom's friends have used Dr. Ihde, who ironically was my first choice when I initially began to explore this surgery a couple of years back. As I really delved into the surgery he wasnt an option because he didnt accept my insurance. Well I'm glad to report I've switched surgeons and he does take BCBS whooo hooo.

Dr. Ihde is a terrific surgeon. Over time, i realized that he truly does care about his patients. He does not leave anything out in the consultation!!

Kim, his assistant is as caring as Dr Ihde. I loved Dr Ihde's bed side manner.
He is a TERRIFIC DR and the office staff is a continuation of his personality.

I am currently scheduled for a revision. I am using a different doctor this time. Dr. Ihde has been following me since I started going to his support group in Feb 04. I have actually talked with him more than I ever did Dr. C. I am looking forward to being his patient! He's been great so far.

Dr. Capehart is a jewel! Not only was she very helpful and informative, she REALLY cares! Her office assistant, Linda, WOW she's great too!

Dr. C shoots straight! She tells you like it is. If she doesn't think this surgery is for you, she doesn't hesitate to let you know. She also will let you know if she thinks it's going to be successful. She told me that this surgery is a life changing event & you better be darn sure that's what you want, because it's alot harder to undo than it is to do!

She recommended that I see a Nutritionist to go over the types of foods that are needed for after surgery. She emphasized PROTEIN! PROTEIN! PROTEIN!

She absolutely knows her stuff. She took ample time to explain the procedure to my husband, and answered ALL of his questions. She stated that although there is a risk when having surgery, there is a risk walking across the street. She has recently changed her surgery hospital and went into detail as to why!

I STRONGLY! recommend Dr. Capehart!

Long story short--as of 4/17/03, I have switched to Dr. Ihde in Lancaster. I met Dr. Ihde (and his nurse Kim) at a support group meeting several months ago. One thing that really impressed me was when asked why he decided to do bariatric surgery, he said because of all the surgery he's ever done--bariatric patients seem to be the most grateful of all patients.

He showed a genuine concern for his patients (who were the larger part of the support group) and they had nothing but good things to say about him and his work.

I found out recently that he now does laproscopic RNY--which I hope will be an option for me.

Just in case someone is "skimming" for info and hasn't had time to read my profile in it's entirety, I want you to know that Dr. Ihde is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED--WITHOUT RESERVATIONS! He's the greatest!! I felt that God's hand was definitely in the works as I looked for a surgeon and found Dr. Ihde. His care and concern for his patients--pre- and post-op is nothing outside of extraordinary. He is absolutely the best!!

DR. IHDE AND HIS STAFF WERE THE BEST. THE WERE SO NICE AND INFORMATIVE. I WAS NOT A BIT NERVOUS ON THE DAY OF MY SURGERY BECAUSE I TRUSTED DR.IHDE AND HAD FELT SO CONFIDENT IN HIM. AFTER MY SURGERY IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS,EVEN LITTLE STUFF,HIS STAFF IMMEDIATELY CALLED ME BACK. THEY ALWAYS KNEW WHO I WAS BY FIRST NAME. DR. IHDE REALLY IS CARING AND KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT.I WENT IN FOR MY FIRST VISIT AND HE ASKED ALOT OF QUESTIONS AND EXPLAINED THE SURGERY AND COMPLICATIONS.HE SENT ME HOME WITH A BOOKLET OF INFO(VERY HELPFUL). THE NEXT VISIT WAS TEACHING ME HOW TO READ LABELS AND WHAT FOODS TO PICK. THERE WAS ALSO A DIETICIAN THERE. I GOT ANOTHER BOOKLET,AGAIN VERY HELPFUL. AFTER MY SURGERY I WENT FOR MY FOLLOW-UP VISITS AND HAD TO BRING A DAILY REPORT SHEET THAT HE GAVE ME TO KEEP TRACK OF EVERYTHING I ATE.I HAD NO BAD EXPERIENCES AT ALL. MY SCAR IS HARDLY VISIBLE.DR.IHDE DID A GREAT JOB.

Dr.Idhe makes sure you understand what is going to take place before and after the surgery.

Back ground research on Dr. Idhe confirmed I had a good surgeon. The staff is very good. It was good for me to know he and his staff are christians and all was on the same team.

Dr.Idhe wants you to be knowledgeable. You also have to pass his test. What to do and not what to do. Emphasize on aftercare, exercise,dietician guide lines and attending support group.

Dr. Idhe goes over all the risks of the surgery. No matter how will you do your home work thing can always go wrong. Needless to say my surgery did not go to plans but, think God I choose Dr. Idhe I might not have been here today.

Dr. Idhe is number "1" in my book. When his team of staff pray around you before surgeries. Knowing the higher hand (God) guides this team of people. I have choose the best of the best.
