Aug 9, 2004 was the first time I meet Dr. Cahill and Donna his receptionist. My first impression was that the office is really nice. They have very large chairs that really comfortable.
Dr. Cahill is very honest and he made me feel very comfortable. I have full confidence in him. I know that everything will go well.
My first impression of Dr. Cahill was that he was all Business. He came in and pretty much gave me all the info. I wasn't in the office for too long, but felt that I got a lot of information.
The aftercare sounds amazing. I've never seen any surgeon give out so much to their patients. There are so many resources.
I would rate Dr. Cahill and his staff a 10+ His staff is great. Donna is such a sweetie and a hardworker. Tony is awesome and really does keep it real.
First impressions are lasting, my mother always told me. Surely, upon meeting the first person of this wonderful team, DONNA, I felt I made the right choice in Health Care Professionals. Prior to making an appointment, I went to a few 'group sessions' in an effort to check out this crew. I was made welcome by a few 'out' patients, and a guy named TONY, who was informative and REAL! I immediately scheduled my appointment, and was eager to meet the 'man' behind this wonderful team. Upon my initial visit with Doctor Cahill, it was all about business. He was straight forward, answered all my questions, and the few I had were already made clear through his concern and proper attention to my health records. The pre-op testing was explained, and no matter how much I wanted and NEEDED to know, DR. CAHILL was smooth, comfortable and very competent, professional in his responses. As a current PhD professional myself, it it means a great deal to be cared for by a Doctor, especially a SURGEON, who knows his business... seeing that WLS is not a 'guessing game'. What I enjoy best is that I am given space, pre-op, to read, think things threw, and not 'bugged' about a thing. My approval was quick and easy... and my pre-op testing and screening and scheduling was no-nonsence. I am thankful for the crew I was referred to by my PCF, as he is also a great Doctor, himself. I look forward to the new life ahead of me, and what a great way to start it off... with a wonderful team to guide me to it all!
thought he was extremely business like, kind of cold. Realized he's a super Dr. with a terrific sense of humor. His staff is outstanding and super helpful. The surgical male nurse is also in charge of the support group--a wonderful combination. Future patients should just wait for the results of this terrific , caring Dr.He has you sign a letter that you will attend support meetings for at least 1 year, and has a totally structured aftercare program. He was totally honest about the risks and I would recommend him and his staff highly.
1. I liked him, He seemed very competant and understanding.
2. It hasn't.
3. Helpful, informative and supportive.
4. nothing.
5. He is a good doctor.
6. 100%
7. yes, his staff is available through his office and E-Mail and respond promptly.
8.They present each risk, at least on three different ocassions prior to surgery.
9. I'd rate him a 10 out of 10.
10. Both.
I had my 1st consultation with Dr. Cahill and it was great! That was in May. Since then I have had the opportunity of working with his staff. Not only is Dr. Cahill wonderful, but he has a top-notch staff. Dr. Cahill's group is the 2nd group that I have worked with and I can tell you personally the attention to details and the personal approach that this staff has beats the other group I was working with hands downs. I really believe that things happen for a reason and me changing groups was the best choice I could have made. I am still amazed at how personal Dr. Cahill's group is with their patients. After attending a few of their support group meetings, I could tell right away that I would be taken care of and that they would do their best to help me to reach my weight loss goals. I never felt this with the previous group I dealt with. They are so hands on, so organized, and caring and I have not even had my surgery yet!! You really get the feeling that they all really care about you personally. I could go on and on about the differences but no time. Just know that Dr. Cahill and staff are EXCELLENT and if you want a group that cares and treat's you like a person instead of a number, you will be more than satisfied with Dr. Cahill's group....:-)
Dr. Cahill was extremely professional. When I went for my consultation, I had prepared a list of questions. By the end of my visit, he had answered each and every one. I am just over 1 year post-op now and this doctor never ceases to amaze me. Follow up care is wonderful and he keeps a close eye on your progress. There is nothing negative I can say about him or his staff. Everyone who works with Dr. Cahill is nothing less than wonderful.
My first impression of Doctor G. Cahill, (Little Company of Mary Hosp. in Evergreen Park)was, wow he answered all of my questions before I asked him anything. He is very honest and does not sugar coat anything. I have to admit that I was a little upset about the negative things about the surgery for me. But after thinking about it, I felt that he really cared about my health and wanted me to understand the risk associated with the surgery and without the surgery. So if you don't like hearing the truth, I suggest not seeing him. He makes sure that you have the very best specialist for any health issues that are of major concern. He also will not agree to anything until the green light has been given by all the specialist involved in your particular situation. In my particular case, he said that I had to jump though hoops before giving me a scheduled date.
Doctor Cahill's staff is wonderful. Donna, Tiffany and Tony are always available for any questions/concerns that you may have. I love those chairs in the waiting area...the whole place is very comfortable and accommodating.
Overall, I will rate Dr. Cahill, his staff and the specialist that he referred me to a perfect 10. Everyone, that I have met has been knowledgeable, caring, and friendly.
Thank you Dr. Cahill for working with me for this life changing event.
