My first impression of Dr. Zorn was that he was intelligent, articulate and genuinely cared about his patients. Over time, my first impression has turned out to be right on the mark. My husband was very nervous about me having the surgery, but once he met Dr. Zorn, his fears were put at rest. My husband's biggest fear was that Dr. Zorn was a \"Fat Doctor,\" specifically a wheeler-dealer whose only interest was to make money off fat people. Dr. Zorn is completely opposite of this, as he truly seems to have a passion for improving the quality of life for the morbidly obese.rnrnIn addition, Dr. Zorn spends a great deal of time with his patients, acting as if who ever he is seeing is currently his only patient assigned. Post surgery I had problems with keeping protein down, called the office asking for help, and Dr. Zorn himself actually returned the call. Dr. Zorn also travels each month to various cities in Southern California for check-up appointments for his patients so they don't have to travel down to his home base of San Diego. I am truly amazed that such a skilled and in-demand surgeon makes himself so available to his patients.

He seemed very nice when I met him but I haven't heard from him in the years since I had the surgery! I have never heard from anyone from his firm! He did a good job though, as I had no complications after the surgery but I felt like I was just a dollar sign to them as they rushed patients through like an assembly line. Actually, I would suggest that you don't have the surgery and try to do it on your own. I had good luck with Atkins. I could eat all I wanted and never felt deprived and should have just stayed with that instead of having the surgery. Now I can't go anywhere due to the flatulence complication of the surgery!

My surgeon is Dr Zorn, The first time I saw Dr Zorn was at a the bariatric seminar, My first impression of him was that he was straight to the point, he was as honest as can be, and he answered all the questions I asked. I felt a bond with him, and comfortable with him, so at that point I knew he was the one I would want to do my surgery. I was very impressed with his staff, as soon as I got my approval, I called his office, and with in 24hrs I called and scheduled the next week to vist all the staff to get the final approval. He was the last person I saw of the day, and he talked about aftercare and what I needed to do pre-surgery to help me in a speedy recovery, he was very caring and seemed like he would be very compassionate to all his patient's and their feelings. I have a lot of faith in him, my life is in his and God's hands. Looking forward to having surgery in November.

Though Dr Zorn was not my surgeon, I will recommend him ten fold. He was on call one day when I had an allergic reaction to a medication and took care of it ASAP. I also met him and the seminar and was very comfortable with him especially since I had over 50 questions and he was patient and answered them all.

Great surgeon, very responsive, very direct and honest in his approach. I would recommend him to anyone. rnrnDr. Zorn made me feel very comfortable from the get-go at the first meeting, which was a seminar sponsored by Pacific Bariatric Group. I was delighted to find out he would be my surgeon. He was completely honest, encouraging and thorough in his explanations and his work. rnrnHe was tremendously kind and truthful with myself and my family; I have one son who is a little disabled who he was wonderful with and encouraging to have my son help me with the weeks to come in recovery. rnrnMy scars are very small and healing beautifully, and I've already lost over 27 pounds since my surgery two weeks ago. rnrnI give the highest recommendation to Dr. Zorn and Pacific Bariatric.

My first impression of Dr. Zorn was that he was a professional that cared about his patients. At my initial consultation, he took all the time needed to answer any questions I had and to explain the entire proceedure to me including all of the risks. My impression of him never change from our first meeting throughout discharge from the hospital. The office staff at Pacific Bariatrics was wonderful; they were never too busy to answer any questions that I had. Dr. Zorn puts a high emphasis on aftercare, after all, he wants you to be successful. Dr. Zorn displayed excellent surgical competence and bedside manner.rnI did not have one negative experience throughout the entire ordeal. I could not have put myself in better hands.
