My first impression of Dr. Wynn was BIG/GREAT things come in small packages. Dr. Wynn is a small petite woman who posseses great knowledge and skill to do what she does.rnMy impression of her only got better especially since my wls journey has been so successful.rnHer staff has been great no problems there. Everybody seems to know what their doing and has a good time doing it. What I liked best about Dr. Wynn is she looks you in the eye when talking to you. She gives you the answers to all your question in way that you can understand them. I would reccomend Dr. Wynn to anybody comptemplating wls. Before surgery she requires her patients to sign a contract that includes the participation in the support group/s that the office provides. At our first meeting, Dr. Wynn went over the risks of each of the different surgeries avaiable to me in detail. On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate Dr. Wynn at a 9. I think surgical competence is number 1 with bedside manner coming in at very close number 2 which Dr. Wynn has demonstrated both. Mind you, these are my own personal views and experiences and can't not speak for anyone else.rnrnThank-you Dr. Wynn
Dr. Wynn - My first impression was - WOW she is young!!! Are we sure she is a MD?? LOL! Yes! She is a MD and a very smart confident woman!!
Her office staff, Judy, mainly was wonderful - followed up within 24 hours, pre-op. Even filled out my questionaire.. which I was blown away by.
She explained to me what the surgery can help with, i.e. Sleep Apnea, Diabities, joint pain, etc. Also, she explained to me all of the risks and what percentage of the time they occure. She truly knows what she is talking about and eased my mind! BTW- the first time I met with her; she had just finished the surgery within a couple of hours from my appointment.
Overall - I think she is wonderful - I will add more after the surgery!!
My first impression of Dr. Wynn was that she was very caring and would follow my case very closely. The office staff at Chrias is AWESOME! The programs that you MUST attend with Sam and Mary Ellen are very informative and helpful. She has an awesome support group staff and makes sure you know how important it is to go to Support Group meetings.rnI would give Dr. Wynn and her staff and everyone at St. Francis Hospital a (10) I was waited on hand and foot and never went without anything. rnThanks for making a positive change in my life and I promise to follow through!
I met Dr Wynn,on July 2 2008. That is where my journey began. I already knew what surgery I wanted Lapband or shall I say Realize Band. I was'nt interested in having part's of my stomach cut out and insides rerouted.rn She talked with me about the lapband thought this was a good choice for me. Then she asked \"Do you have any questions\"? I said have you had anyone DIE from this surgery? She smiled and assured me that they have NOT had any one die from this procedure. That was a big relief as I have 4 children I was thinking about when I asked.rn My poor dear husband just set there kinda shell shocked. He asked her does'nt this seem extreme? There was a model of the Lapband on Dr Wynn's desk.I think his real fear was something happening to me.rn This practice has an EXCELLENT aftercare program. I can call Sam the NUT for help anytime I need it he is also there via email. This was included in the package. How cool is that.rn I want to note that Dr Peter's assisted with my lapband. He is also a very nice man, great doctor and wonderful bedside manner.rn The pain I have had are port site with brusing but that is quite common from what I have read online. There is no infection and other then nasty port site brusing I am healing very well. I have also suffered gas pain and walking is very good for that.rn If you are looking into WLS and are in the area check them out. I felt safer knowing that this practice always has two doctors performing the procedure on you.I wish obesityhelp would allow us to have 2 doctors listed in the topic heading as Dr Peters also deserves credit here.
My first impression of her was very positive. I felt as if she wanted what was best for her patients and she was very informative with answers to each of my questions. The staff was pleasant. The fact that you have to undergo multiple clearances is great even though it takes a bit of extra time. It gives you a piece of mind that you have been checked over from top to bottom. This is how I found out that I have sleep apnea. Thank god for the sleep study requirement by the Pulmonologist. Aftercare is stressed by the doctors as well as the other medical staff in their program multiple times at meetings, visits, and in their hand outs. Surgical competence is the most important but it's great to have bedside manner as well.
My first impression of Dr. Wynn was that of professionalism, competence, confidence, and caring. My first impression over time has not changed. Benefits and risks of WLS are thoroughly explained to prospective patients. Dr. Wynn's office staff including the St. Francis bariatric center staff are all very friendly and genuinely want to help. Aftercare in the form of access to a dietician, follow-up appointments with the surgeon, informational seminars and support groups is outstanding. My overall rating for Dr. Wynn and St. Francis is EXCELLENT.
I likes from the beginning. She was very helpful and answered all of my questions. She answered alll the questions I asked about her success rate and seemed genuinely honest.rnShe asks that you attend meetings before even if your insurancce doesn't make you and she also stresses aftercare meetings.rnOverall she was wonderfull and I would recommend her to anyone.
Dr. Wynn is wonderful - I can't say enough about her. Both she and Dr. Iragu took very good care of me on my surgery day. I felt like she truly cared about helping me become a healthier person. rnrnPrior to that her office handled everything so smoothly - I never had to deal with any of the paperwork. Everyone was friendly and open to any questions I had.rnrnI would highly recommend CHRIAS and any of the surgeons on staff there to potential WLS patients.
